Izzy’s pov I had woken up from a nap on the sofa, feeling anxious. Dad, Finn, Zahra, and Mom were all out of the house. Mom was doing groceries but could come back any minute now. I stared out the window, watching people walk by. I knew why I couldn’t leave; dad hadn’t told me the real reason, though. He had said I was under house arrest for running away again, but I knew it was so people wouldn’t think badly of Jordan.
