The entire place was bleak, cold and completely dark. It was quiet and somber in there and I felt a chill as the darkness engulfed me when my eyes shot open. It was the most piercing darkness ever- it was not merely the darkness that came out of absence of light, it was much more sinister.

Clattering and chattering filled the dark hall as we all heard Alpha Grey and his entourage rejoicing. I sat up, laid down again, and stretched my eyes to see through the thick darkness, but it was blinding. Thank goodness for the little rays of light that peeped in.
