Chapter Thirty - Eight

Crumble:

Douglas crossed the border into his land. He took a deep breath, the smell of pine wrapping around him. The temper is slightly colder than the surrounding areas. He let out the breath he took in. He was happy to be home. He walked down the pebble path towards the lodge looking pack house. He made it through the gate and passed their border. No alert, no siren nothing. They were not used to being worried about any threat. Their Alpha was a council member no one dared to come on their land uninvited. Walking into the hall of the pack house there was silence. The pack house felt almost like a resort in the mountains. Very rustic and woodsy, He knew it was late but was surprised no one was up and about. He went to his office and sat down in his chair in front of the fireplace.

“Samuel.”He mindlinked his beta.
