Zelda's POV

His mouth claimed mine without permission, lips sucking hungrily at mine, one hand already gripping my waist like he had every right to it.

Something in me snapped. I broke the kiss and pulled back, but my hands betrayed me, rising to cup his cheeks before I could stop them.

I froze. I shouldn't have done that. When Vance's eyes met mine again, they were no longer brown. They were gold, pure terrifying gold, his wolf staring back at me.

My heart slammed against my ribs.

I quickly tu

  • The Luna They Buried    Seven Days To Break Her

Author's POV"Hi, Dad."Leah's voice cracked on the second word."Come with me." He didn't look at her when he said it. He just turned and walked, and her legs carried her after him because they knew better than to refuse. The moment they stepped into the room, her palms were already slick with sweat, and her legs felt weak beneath her.She barely had time to turn around after the door closed before a blinding slap cracked across her cheek. Her head snapped to the side.Pain exploded across her face, followed almost immediately by the metallic taste of blood filling her mouth.Leah’s trembling hand flew to her cheek, her eyes blurring with tears."I'm sorry, Dad,” she whispered, tears spilling freely down her cheeks. Elder Jonathan said nothing, he simply just paced around the room. Three steps one way, three steps back, his sandals slapping the stone floor in a rhythm that made her flinch each time he turned. Then he stopped in front of her, close enough that she could smell the h

  • The Luna They Buried    Anything To Remain Sick

Author's POV"The Luna collapsed in her office."Vance shot out of the room, yanking his shirt over his head before he'd even cleared the doorway."Where is she?" His voice cracked through the hallway like a whip."The hospital, Alpha." The guard could barely keep pace with him.He didn't slow until he burst into the hospital room. The moment Leah's eyes found him, her face crumpled into something fragile, tears pooling at the corners of her eyes."Sweetheart, what happened?" He dropped into the chair beside her bed, gathering her hand in his.Her lips quivered as fresh tears slid down her cheeks. "I was going through the women's complaints and I think I forgot to eat. I didn't even notice how many meals I'd skipped.""Doctor, how is she?" he asked, cupping her face and brushing his thumbs beneath her eyes. The doctor lowered his clipboard. "The Luna simply needs rest, Alpha. Her body is exhausted from overwork.""Thank you, doctor." Vance turned back to Leah and slid an arm beneath h

But I barely took two steps before Vance was suddenly standing in front of me.I stopped dead. “Where do you think you’re going, mate?” he asked. His voice was deeper now, rougher, carrying something primal that sent a shiver down my spine. His hand immediately found my waist, pulling me closer until there was barely any space left between us. I felt the hard press of his arousal against my thigh.I barely

  • The Luna They Buried    The Elders Warning

AUTHOR'S POVIt was officially the first day of Zelda’s stay in the Alpha’s quarters. And Zelda wasn’t having it easy.Though food was now readily available, Vance never seemed to run out of excuses to bring her something to eat. Sometimes, he even stayed and watched until she finished every bite. She should have been having the time of her life.Except she wasn’t allowed to step out of the room, and she had to be constantly conscious of the cameras watching her every move. Every breath, every step, every moment of silence felt as if it were being observed. It was a cage.Just a prettier one.Vance, on the other hand, sat in his office, flipping lazily through the pages of the book in his hand while his other hand scrolled through the laptop resting before him. A glass of whiskey sat within easy reach, the amber liquid catching the faint glow of the desk lamp.He kept scribbling things down, only to crumple the papers and throw them away moments later. His fingers tightened around eac

  • The Luna They Buried    The Friend In The Dark

AUTHOR'S POV"Let's go have some fun with the bitch," Leah said, looping her arm through her friend's as they left the office. They passed hallway after hallway, descending until the air changed, growing thick and cold, until they stood somewhere far beneath the building that most pack members didn't even know existed.A prison that smelled of death before the door was even opened."Open it," Leah said. The guard fumbled the key into the lock with shaking fingers. The door groaned as it swung inward, and the stench rolled out to meet them: rotten flesh, mildew, and something sour underneath it all. Somewhere down the corridor, a cry rose and broke into a whimper.Leah stepped through first. Around her, shapes shifted in the dark, prisoners curling smaller against the walls, some already murmuring pleas before she'd even turned to look at them."Open up," she said again, stopping before another door. The guard obeyed, and Leah's mouth curved into a slow smile at what waited inside."Ho

  • The Luna They Buried    The Lie Leah Told

Author's POV"How the hell did you let her get that way?"Vance demanded, his eyes fixed on Zelda’s painfully lean figure. When he had caught her in the hallway the previous night, he had barely recognized her. If it had not been for her familiar body scent, he would have walked right past her, never realizing that the frail woman standing before him was Zelda.Leah shifted against the wall, her fingers twisting the hem of her sleeve. "I... I..." The words wouldn't come.Vance's jaw ticked. A vein rose along his temple, and his eyes, usually a calm amber, burned dark gold. He closed the distance between them in three strides, backing Leah into the wall until there was nowhere left for her to go. His hand closed around her arm, not hard enough to bruise, but hard enough that she felt every one of his fingers.“I told you to take care of her, and instead, I come back to this?” Vance snarled as he stalked toward Leah.Leah instinctively stepped back, her breathing growing shallow as she
