Chapter 103: The Alpha

I waited a moment after the males walked away, debating with myself whether or not to follow. This is ridiculous. Of course, I’m going to follow them. This is why I’m here. Even if Emmett can see me, he didn’t say anything.

As I was rushing down the hall to catch up, I realized that it was eerily quiet. The males weren’t talking to one another as they walked, and when I finally caught up to them, I understood why.

The patrol wolf was messing with something on the wall. I stayed a few paces back, though I’m sure Emmett knew I was there watching after he briefly glanced over his shoulder in my direction. His wolf eyes would see me easily, even with the absence of light.

After a few more seconds, there was a click and the wall began to move, revealing a door to another hallway.

So that’s why I wasn’t able to find anything or anyone before. I wondered why my ability would bring me here, instead of just putting me on the other side of this door, but I didn’t have much time to
