Chapter 19

LYRA 

I had taken a quick bath and just a little string of self control was holding me back from going out in search of my mates. It had been an hour since they both left and I prayed nothing major was wrong but Lucien? He wasn't one to show that kind of behavior for something minor. 

And once again, I said a quick prayer. One that seemed to be glued to my lips by now. “Goddess, protect them,” A sigh erupted from my lips and I fell back into bed. 

I had spent the last hour second guessing all the things I had done lately. We were fine at the field so what changed. I was alone because my wolf was gone and I had no answer to my question. What had changed? 

A knock sounded on my door and I jumped up, rushing over to push it open. When the door opened, it was Rowan. 

My face fell into a frown as he made his way in. “Your room smells like sex,” He commented and my eyes widened. 

In the heat of the moment, I had forgotten to open my windows. “I…” I stuttered. 

“Who was here?” He inquired. 

“No one had been here,” I said, reassuring him. 

“You can't fool me Lyra,” He growled. 

“I'm not fooling you, you're just being paranoid,” I hissed. 

My back slammed against the wall with a force that could had broken my shoulder. 

“I'm just being paranoid huh?” He leaned in, dangerously close, his nose brushing against my skin. 

“I'm an Alpha, I can smell sex in this room and I'm not wrong,” He thundered. 

“Well, there's no sex in this room,” I held my head high, looking at him dead in the eyes. 

“You're stubborn right?” He chuckled and threw me into the bed. My back landed softy on the bed, bouncing up and I struggled to get up but he was already pressing against me in no time. 

“I'm just being paranoid,” His smile was creepy as he tore my clothes away. “No Lyra, I'm sure of what I'm saying,” He added in a grunt and crashed his lips against mine. I thrashed under him but his grip held me in place. 

“Don't dare me Lyra,” His warning was loud and clear so I stopped moving. 

“Good girl,” He grinned, his lips moving from my lips done to my face and my neck. He stayed at my neck, licking and sucking. 

And then… With a tug, he tore my clothes away and dropped them on the floor before pulling his trousers off. I panicked before trying to call out to my wolf but was still met by silence. 

I wasn't given the chance to breath before he thrusted into me. Hard, fast and sharp. His thrusts moved quickly and he planted his lips on me, decorating my neck with bites. Ones that can't be called love bites. Now I miss my mates. 

His rough and coarse hands held my breast in place as he massaged them, moving in and out of my hole. Moans spilled out of his mouth and he wasn't anywhere slow with it. 

His thrusts became even faster as I felt his dick grown inside me, as he chased his orgasm. With a loud moan, he came undone, spilling his seed all over me. 

He pulled out slowly, his eyes looking me over lustfully. “I've got eyes on you Luna, you should be careful,” He warned, standing up and strolling into the bathroom. 

I pulled the blanket over me as the sound of the pouring water grounded me. My mind went back to earlier today. Lucien had occupied that spot but he had left in tears. The question still hung on my mind. 

“Was he good? What had happened to him? Why did he reacted the way he did?” But the answers were still far fetched. I didn't even know where he was. 

“Lyra,” I snapped from whatever trance I had fallen into and looked up at the person who has called my name. Rowan. 

Steam clung to his skin as his icy cold eyes glared into me. “What are you thinking?” He asked in a way that showed that he knew what I was thinking about but he didn't care. 

“Nothing,” I choked out and he smirked. 

“I hope so, be careful,” He added and walked away, the door closing with a thud against him. The thud sounded like it had closed against my heart. 

The hot tears fell down, I felt dirty and used and tears cascaded down my cheeks. “Mates,” I cried. “Where are you both?” The silence in my chest became even louder. 

I laid on my bed, staring into the ceiling and with no idea when I had fallen asleep. My eyes shot open by the sound of things scraping against tiles outside my door. 

“What was going on?” I wondered before jumping out of the bed. As I approached my door, a knock sounded on it and my face lit up. 

“Mates,” The thought was dispelled as soon as it came. It was impossible. They wouldn't come when there were people moving around. 

I let out a sigh before reaching out of the door and pulling it open. Mira stood before the door with a smile. 

“What are you doing here?” My words came out as hostile. 

“Let me in first you know,” She rolled her eyes before walking into the room. 

I exhaled deeply before walking over to her. “I'm sorry for the way I spoke.” I said. 

“It's okay,” She smiled. “I know you're stressed,” She added. 

“You don't have any idea,” I said and she chuckled before I turned to look her, my expression becoming serious. 

“What's going on outside?” I asked. 

“Oh, someone is moving into the room some doors away from you,” She replied cheerfully before she froze, her eyes darting around the room. 

“Who?” my heart thumped against my chest, not because I was nervous or because I cared but because I knew the answer and I wasn't ready for it. 

“Noel!” The answer came.
