"Alpha Dylan, Alpha Leonardo," Kaia, their second in command, bowed as she sashayed into their glass office with a huge pile of files in hand, her heels clinking as she walked across the tiled floor.

She huffed and plopped down on the couch with her hands crossed over her curvaceous breast, exposing more of her cleavage under her white button-up shirt, her legs crossed over each other in a natural but seductive pose. Her head lolled to the back as she let out a sigh of relief.

"Fuck! When are you two going to get a secretary? It's stressful working as your Beta and secretary," she complained with a pout "I have to handle your office work and also the Pack work. I don't even have enough time to date, swears my scumbus side is starving for days!" she whined as she felt the growing need in her body for a release.

"Did you find any clue about where it is?" Dylan asked, his voice monotonous and strict, mirroring his expression as he gave Kaia a cold stare before returning to his work on the monitor.

Kaia shivered and sat straight, her impishness disappeared as she realised Dylan, the more playful of the two, was in a sore mood. She dared not look over to the other side where Leonardo's table was, afraid she'd wet her pants in fear, not like it was the first time that would happen.

Sometimes she wondered how she had grown and been assigned to be their second in command. Both of them terrify her.

"We couldn't find anything about its recent activities, the energy detection device has not caught any signal from it, there were traces of it here in Norway after Ruby's disappearance but we couldn't find its specific location in time before it finally disappeared three years ago," Kaia reported calmly as she separated the files according to the latest information.

"At first we thought the device was malfunctioning as there was no way the energy could just disappear so we asked for a repair and a service and then we found out nothing was wrong with the device, the energy just disappeared," she added

"Keep looking," Dylan ordered. "The blood moon is drawing close and we need to find it before then," he added before dismissing her without looking up from his work.

"Excuse me Alpha," Kaia called, Dylan lifted his eyes from the monitor and his Purple eyes stared back into her soul sending cold arrows to her spine.

Her knees went weak and her hands trembled in fear. Cold sweat trickled down her back in waves and her wolf quivered in submission inside her.

Submission to the real Alpha.

'Fuck! It wasn't Dylan in control,' she mumbled.

She hadn't noticed it before as she was busy staring at the ceiling.

Dexter was.

Dexter, Dylan's wolf, was the real Alpha amongst all four of them. Dylan, Leonardo, Jace and Dexter.

Contrary to its human's friendly and playful attitude, Dexter hates any type and form of disrespect and disorderliness, both of which she had showcased a few minutes ago.

She felt her soul tremble as his stare got deeper, colder and impatient

"If you have nothing else to say, you are dismissed Kaia," Dexter's deep voice echoed as he turned back to his work.

"The art piece Alpha Dylan ordered is here, where should it be hung?" She asked with a shaky voice.

"In the dumpster, he'd pick it up when he is in control. I hate the smell of paint. Now leave, your presence here is a hindrance to productivity and you can go find something to do with that sinful aura around you?"

Kaia rushed out, her heart in her throat as closed the glass door behind her, she walked away from the glass office to a corner where she couldn't be seen before letting out a deep sigh of relief.

"Alpha Dexter is as terrifying as always. It's not a full moon yet why was he in control? Hmph, whose fault was it that I haven't fed my succubus lately?" she huffed and pointed her middle fingers towards the direction of the glass office.

Back in the office, Leonardo stood up trotting to the coffee table where the files were placed, he picked one and began looking through it.

"If you want your mate so badly why don't you just drive down to her house? Letting out your irritation on poor Kaia is just not fair, Dexter."

"Whose fault is it that I can't go to her?" Dexter bites back angrily, glaring daggers at the amused Leonardo.

"Not mine," Leonardo shrugged, picking another file to read before continuing with the conversation. "On the other hand, why do you think we couldn't feel the energy anymore? Did someone possess it already?"

"Even if it was possessed by someone, its energy wouldn't disappear just like that. Have your trackers been able to locate Ruby? If we want any information about its location we need to find the person it was last seen with," Dexter replied.

Massaging his nose bridge, Leonard rests his butt on Dylan's table. "She disappeared on a plane to Switzerland from here in Norway and no traces of her have been seen since then. It was also around this time that 'it' disappeared here in Norway. I think there is a connection between the two. I just can't pinpoint what it is. I've asked my men to keep looking for information about the occurrence in the Halton family that year, while also keeping an eye out in case Ruby contacted them," he explained, fatigue daubing his voice.

"Do you think it's a coincidence that Eric's last daughter is mated to both of us?" Leonardo suddenly asked after a long stretched comfortable silence.

"I don't know. It's not rare for twin wolves to be mated to a single person. Do you think it's weird she's mated to us both?"

"No."

'But my intuition is telling there is more to it,' he wanted to add but swallowed back as he went back into looking at the files.

"Good afternoon Amanda" Tori and Beth greeted as Hazel's mother came to open the door for them, her eyes swollen and red from crying, "Oh, Beth, Tori, come in" She welcomed them with a forced smile as she opened the door wide for them to step in. "It's been so long since you both came here, was it schoolwork? Or did you have a fallout with Hazel?" "Yeah, it is schoolwork, we could never have a fallout for that long. Plus, we both have part-time jobs that run all week, where is Hazel? She hasn't been to school in a week" Tori explained as they sat on the couch opposite Amanda"Well, Hazel has been sick, she has been unconscious for the past week and she just woke up today, and she lost her memory once again. Why do bad things always happen to my baby?" Amanda asked, her voice hoarse from crying all day, and with a sad countenance, her shoulders trembled as she began to sob.All she could do all week was watch her daughter's unconscious state and cry. They had invited the doctor afte

Muttering incoherent words in her sleep, Hazel wiggles from one side of the bed to the other, sweat oozing out her body in streams soaking her lacy nightwear and bedcovers. Her face pulled together in a frown, her eyes spasm frantically under her eyelids as she clutched the bed covers with both hands.Traces of burns appeared on her right breast under her cloth, forming a rose flower-shaped design, in the middle of the rose flower another diamond-shaped design and a half moon appeared floating, they moved about and around the flower before eventually settling in its middle. As the diamond and moon glowed red, Hazel let out a pained scream from her sleep, her toes curling, alerting both her parents who rushed in to see their daughter clutching her chest while screaming. "What is going on?" Amanda asked as strings of curses escaped Eric's lips as he beheld the sight before him. He rushed to his daughter's side to see what was happening but quickly backed off at the heat radiating off

"You are Leonardo," Hazel confirmed, pointing to the one in the black and gold suit, before turning to face her professor, who wore a blue dress shirt and black pants."And you are Professor Dylan," she concluded carefully."I'm hurt, Princess," Dylan complained with mock offense, feigning hurt as he placed his hand dramatically over his heart. "You call him by his first name and then go Professor on me."Ignoring his playful complaint, Hazel's eyes flitted from one to the other, trying to find any physical difference between them. They both had the same eye colour, identical build, same hair length, and same dangerously heart-stopping smile. Every feature was just a perfect replica, and the worst part was—both stirred the same deep feelings within her.She found herself wanting them both.It was no secret to her that she was attracted to older men; she had always known boys her age were simply too immature for her tastes. This, however, was the first time she'd been attracted to two

  • The Luna's Lost Halo   Chapter 2: They Are Twins

"I heard we got a new art professor! They say he is handsome and has the sexiest Italian accent. Have you seen him? What does he look like? Is what they’re saying true?"Hazel did her best to tune out her best friend Tori, who had been bombarding her with questions all morning. She had seen him alright, not only once but only twice. The face that haunted her dreams all night, the smile that made her knees weak, that perfectly sculpted body with toned muscles, and that accent.Oh God, that accent she so desperately wanted to hear swear as he groaned in pleasure above or beneath her.“Fuck, what has gotten into me? Why can't I get my mind off him? He blatantly ignored me all through yesterday’s class, pretending we were strangers,” she thought to herself, drowning in frustration.I mean, we are strangers, technically, but still...“Cut it out, Tori. No one asked you to miss a day of school just to hang out with your irresponsible boyfriend,” Beth, Hazel’s second friend and the third in

"Mom, I'm home!" Hazel called out into the empty living room before glancing into the kitchen, where her mother would usually be by this time, preparing dinner—but she wasn't there."But her and Dad's car is packed outside," she muttered, helping herself to a cup of cold orange juice. She placed the cup into the dishwasher and walked upstairs in search of her parents. She was about to climb the stairs when she heard her father's voice coming from the study."Dad, I'm home, did you leave something behind? Where is Mom?..." she asked, opening the door to see that her parents had a visitor."Oops, sorry," she apologized, backtracking out the door as she noticed her parents’ nervous stares from her to the man opposite them. The man looked up from the documents he was reading, his brown eyes meeting Hazel's onyx ones. His lips stretched into a warm smile as their eyes met. His smile sent Hazel's heart racing.'Handsome!' she gasped in surprise as his brown eyes flickered gold, filled with
