Day Seven

"Just go, do whatever you want to do. I still have seven days to be here"

Those words would forever be imprinted into my mind. The image of her face falling and how she tried to hide it by being brave and hiding her true feelings would stay at the periphery of my eyes.

I hadn't expected this call to come today of all days. I hadn't even expected this call to come again at all. Thought he has probably forgotten about that day or maybe bring it up in a year time.

Not today. Not now. And certainly not this week.

My mind flashed to the conversation I had with Boss few minutes ago.

"I told you I would call whenever I was ready to call, whenever I wanted" He had said as soon as I answered. He didn't even wait for me to say anything before he continued "I need you at the bar this instant, something urgent"
