Synopsis

Tragic Love

After Death

Alpha

Luna

Winning Back the Wife

Regret

When I felt the silver tear through my body, the Moon Goddess bound me to Cedwin from four years ago. His younger self was going to propose, when he saw me covered in blood through the cool moonlight. His eyes widened in shock. And back at the present, Cedwin started toward me, his arms shielding Laura—who barely suffered a scratch. Kicking away the building in his way forcefully, the shockwave left me coughing blood. Even so, Cedwin was glaring at me, those red eyes of his that once only cared about me now devoid of warmth. "How jealous and despicable can you get?" He growled. "Feigning an attack just to scare Laura? Heck, that silver almost looks real—you really make me sick!" And with that, he turned to me, leaving me stuck under the debris, still paralyzed by the silver. On the other hand, the Cedwin from four years ago was clawing at the moonlight. He was intent on saving me, but there was nothing he could do but watch. In the end, my lips curled up as I looked at the youth in the moonlight, even as blood streamed out of my mouth. "Don't." As he froze, my smile broadened, serene. "I don't want to be your Luna anymore."

Chapter 1
Kael, the warrior captain, exclaimed anxiously, "Alpha, the area's collapsing. We need to extract the silver to save your Luna…"Cedwin was standing beyond the debris, not even looking my way as he growled, "Get Laura out first."Laura's face was pale as she clenched his arm. There was only a single, very faint scratch, so she was basically unscathed.Kael was stumped."But Luna is still trapped inside," he said, pointing at the crumbling building. "She can't move because of the silver nail. She could even die with the silver impeding her healing."Cedwin didn't even flinch. "Luna staged this entire incident. Since she dared to cause this mess out of jealousy, let her stay in there and cool her head. After she admits her mistake, you can get her out."With that, he snatched the power saw out of a warrior's grasp and snapped, "Get Laura out first! Now!"The basement parking complex was still collapsing, and I couldn't get myself out after the earthquake. And with the silver st

Chapter 2
Forcing a smile, I told Past Cedwin in a soothing voice, "Don't cry. It doesn't hurt."Past Cedwin was shaking his head repeatedly, flinging his tears all over. "Just hold on! I'll definitely save you!"But I didn't even have the strength to respond now.-Back in the present, Cedwin escorted Laura to the ambulance.Turning to look at the collapsing building, his tone was cold as he spoke to Belon, his Beta. "Tell the Luna she's not going to the Full Moon Festival—I'm having Laura take her seat, for planning this nonsense to hurt Laura. And she only comes home when she understands her mistake."Belon was staring at the wall over my head that was threatening to crack and fall, pursing his lips awkwardly. "But she's pinned. We should get someone—""Do you not understand what I just said?!" Cedwin snapped icily. "She did this to make me care! Don't worry about her—she can free herself."With that, the ambulance sped off, leaving just the warriors and Belon.Eventually, Belon sh

I looked Past Cedwin in the eyes as I said, "Don't bother. The moonlight is but a mental connection between two different points in the timeline."Even so, the youth was on his knees, crying in anguish, "I'm sorry, Sophia… I'm so sorry… If I knew that's what I'd become, I'd rather die during the kidnapping instead of letting you save me." He dropped all the potions and antidotes all over the floor, and I couldn't feel a single iota of pity watching him.I couldn't blame Past Cedwin, when he was willing to die for me too. It was just that he was a memento of the past, while the lycan who left me in the wreckage was the Alpha of the Silvermoon Pack. And he has decided that all my sacrifices were only just.I could see the crack in the ceiling widening, and Kael rushed over, pushing Belon out. "Move! This place is going to collapse!"Horrified, Belon ran, while Kael told me, "Just hold on, Luna! We will get you out!"Then, turning to the other warriors, he barked, "Get the power

I quietly listened without arguing as Cedwin kept expounding on the crimes that weren't my doing, while the silver burn began to turn cold. When he was done, I simply said, "She can have everything."Cedwin laughed coolly. "That would be for the best. And don't come crying to me to rescind that tomorrow—I have no time for your antics."My eyes were on the moonlight timer.[0:00:01:00]"Cedwin," I suddenly called his name. "Do you still remember that you owe me a promise? A promise you had yet to fulfill?"I was referring to that promise he made, to fulfill whatever I wished for after I saved him.Cedwin paused for just a second, and then growled impatiently, "What's the point of talking about that now? What more do you want?I laughed, staring at the cracking ceiling overhead. "I don't want to see your face ever again." Once again, silence. Then, Cedwin chuckled in utter disdain. "Are you done? Playing hard to get now? Or what, did you think you'd scare me because you almost

Chapter 5
At the VIP hospital room, Cedwin was sitting by the window, patiently peeling a pear for Laura. She still had his suit on her shoulders, lying in bed and looking meek and helpless. Swiping nonchalantly through YouTube, she asked, "Don't you think you went too far with Luna?"Cedwin paused.Laura then continued, "What if something bad happens if she was left there alone?"Cedwin fed her a slice of pear, wiping his fingers as he said mildly, "Don't worry. She could pull herself out of the wreckage and go home whenever she wanted, but she stayed so that I would go to her and cave to her demands. But I won't, so she just has to make up her own mind."As Laura chewed the pear, she smiled smugly and sweetly. "You're the best, Cedwin."Cedwin smiled, the look in his eyes ever so tender. He picked up his phone, ready to call Belon to see if Sophia had finally given up and headed home, only to find Belon calling him.Cedwin frowned, but ultimately answered, "Sir, I'm sorry…"Cedwin p

Chapter 6
Cedwin strode up, shoving the morgue door out of the way. There, he found the blinding white lights shining on a body covered in white cloth. As Cedwin paused, a warrior lifted the cloth off the body, and the sight alone knocked the air out of Cedwin's lungs. Those remains didn't resemble much of a human—the skull was caved in, the stomach had a gaping hole, and there wasn't much of a face to recognize.Cedwin's eyes, however, were on the fingers.Even though much of it was mashed flesh, he still recognized the ring he had put on Sophia's finger.Four years ago, he had personally designed it. His eyes widened as he reached out, intent on confirming if that ring—the one and only—was the same ring, but soon withdrew his hand as if singed."No, that's impossible… This isn't Sophia, it's not her at all."He spoke, telling himself as much as everyone else, each word more confident with the next. "She can't stand pain, crying every time she gets a papercut, much less this."Then,

In just thirty minutes, Cedwin got the footage from the elders, and Laura's soft voice rang in the living room. "It's not Luna's fault, Cedwin. She's just obsessed over you…"Then, Cedwin heard himself say, "Get Laura out first… Luna staged this entire incident. Since she dared to cause this mess over jealousy, let her stay in there, cool her head. After she admits her mistake, you can get her out."Zooming in on the video, one could see I was clearly bleeding, while Belon reasoned for me to cool off. Then, everyone heard me yielding my seat at the Full Moon Festival to Laura.Cedwin clenched his fist as he once again heard how he had insulted and humiliated Sophia, haughtily calling her a phony who had stolen another werewolf's rights. His nails dug into his own palm, but he felt no pain or anything else. His wolf, however, was howling inside. The footage eventually ended with the entire building collapsing, and there was only dust to be seen.No longer able to hold it in, Ced

Laura's face paled as she grabbed Cedwin's sleeve. "Please, Cedwin… Your Luna always hated me, and she would die just to hurt me. Or are you going to believe her instead of me? What if this was yet another one of her ruses?"Cedwin didn't avoid her touch, instead grabbing her by the shoulders in turn, gripping so hard he could break a bone. Then, he calmly stated the fact, "Sophia's dead. The silver stake kept her pinned and she was buried alive. She was still carrying our pup"There was a brief flash of joy in Laura's eyes, but she hid it, appearing hurt and caught in disbelief. "What? How? You're lying, aren't you?"Her poor facade only caused Cedwin to swell with fury. However, that was when moonlight spilled through the window, and they both suddenly saw a projection of Past Cedwin, smirking as he stood there.Laura stumbled backward in panic. "What the hell?!"Cedwin ignored her. He stared blankly at the projection of his past self. With a look of disdain, Past Cedwin scof

Glaring at Cedwin, Laura leaped out of bed and flung his suit into the bin with disdain. "Or what? I should stick with you and end up in the streets, begging for alms? Do you think I really love you? I only love you being an Alpha! And now, you're just another loser!"She then put on her shoes, not hesitating to leave.Cedwin reached for her hand, only for her to slap it away and slap Cedwin across the face. "Don't touch me, filthy mutt!"Cedwin was already shocked by Sophia's death, and Laura's slap sent him spinning, seeing stars as he collapsed on the floor. His wolf was howling hysterically inside, but he didn't even have the strength to move, so he could only watch as Laura left. His heart ached all the more at the memory of Sophia lying in the debris, while his wolf questioned him, "You're thinking it hurts her just as much to see you leave too?"Cedwin shook his head. "No. It hurts her a million times more."He tried to get up and leave, but Past Cedwin had altered the t

Chapter 10
Laura's hair was a mess just like her dress, and her pride was long gone too.Still, she screamed at Cedwin as if there was still hope, "You told me yourself! That I can do whatever I want with her!"The warriors kept holding her with a vice-grip, one of them yelling, "The rogues sold you out. Now that we have established your connection with them, you will be charged with homicide, trial pending."Laura kept struggling as she yelled at Cedwin, "Useless mongrel! You ruined my life!"However, Cedwin didn't seem to hear her, his eyes remaining glued to Sophia's photo.Suddenly, he frowned and started to rummage through his pockets. "Why are you bleeding, Sophia?"Then, finding only a leaf, he pressed it on Sophia's photo, smiling, "There. Fixed you up good… It's the band-aid I bought you four years ago."He had it in his pocket ever since Sophia got hurt that day, but there was no reason to use it.Four years later, the actual band-aids were naturally long forgotten.Even as Ced
