Chapter 107- Saw Her

Ronan’s POV

I rode faster than my horse had ever carried me before. My heart was not calm, my hands were not steady. Mirella’s words kept repeating in my head—“Selene is alive. She is suffering. I sent guards to bring her back.”

The moment she said those words, my chest burned. I wanted to fall to my knees, to cry like a child, but I could not. I was Alpha. I was supposed to be strong. But inside, I was only a man who wanted to see his mate again. My Selene. The woman I had lost, the woman I thought was gone forever.

Every sound of the horse’s hooves was like thunder in my ears. Every step forward was a prayer. Let me reach her. Let me save her. Please, Moon Goddess, don’t take her away from me again.

When I reached the gates of Evric’s palace, the guards stood stiff, their faces cold. I jumped down from my horse, my chest rising and falling with rage.
