The ruined castle was colder than the forests outside, its stones holding centuries of death and silence. In the grand hall, shadows danced like living things as black flames flickered along the cracked walls. Seraphine sat upon a broken throne, her long dark gown spilling like smoke around her. Her red eyes glowed as if burning from within.

The air shifted as one of her spies crawled forward, his body half hidden by a cloak. He knelt low, his voice trembling as he spoke.

“My lady… I bring news. Damien stood before his pack tonight. He swore that no one would ever take the child from him. He said he would fight with blood and fire if he must.”

Seraphine’s lips curved into a slow smile, sharp and cold. She leaned forward, resting her chin on her hand. “Blood and fire,” she repeated softly, as if savoring the words. “How like him to roar like a lion before his cage shatters beneath him.”

The spy dared to glance up. “The pack whispers, my lady. Many doubt the girl. They fear her. Some sp

  • The Luna's Secret Heir    The Ash and the Breath

The world was quiet.Elena woke to silence so deep it felt like she had fallen into another world. Her body ached everywhere. Her mouth was dry, her lungs heavy with smoke. For a long moment, she just lay there, staring up at the sky.It was still night, but the stars were gone. A dull orange glow filled the horizon, and the smell of burnt wood clung to everything. She moved slowly, her fingers brushing against ash. The ground around her was warm, soft like dust. When she lifted her hand, gray flakes stuck to her skin. Her mind was blank at first. Then, all at once, memory crashed back in—the fire, the voice, Lucian’s shout, the blinding light that swallowed everything. She sat up too fast and gasped. The forest was gone. All around her, trees had been turned to black skeletons. Smoke rose from the earth in thin curls. The air shimmered faintly with leftover heat. But strangely, the circle where she sat was untouched—green, whole, alive.“Elena!”Her heart jumped. She turned toward th

  • The Luna's Secret Heir    Voice of the Flame

The night pressed close, heavy with silence.Elena sat by the dying fire, her knees drawn to her chest. Everyone else had gone to rest—Lucian’s men posted watch along the borders, their shadows shifting through the fog—but she couldn’t sleep. The whisper inside her wouldn’t let her.The fire before her burned low, just embers now. They pulsed faintly, like a heartbeat matching her own.You feel it too, don’t you?The voice came like a breath through the smoke—soft, ancient, and strangely familiar.Elena froze. Her fingers dug into the dirt. “Who’s there?” she whispered. No answer. Only the soft crackle of the embers. Then the whisper came again, threading through the air like heat. You’ve been running from me for too long. Her pulse jumped. The world tilted slightly, the shadows around her rippling like waves of molten gold. She looked down—and gasped. The embers were no longer still. They swirled together, lifting from the ground and circling her hands like glowing dust.Elena tried

  • The Luna's Secret Heir    The Fire Inside

The forest was too quiet.Even the birds refused to sing.Elena stood near the edge of the clearing, her eyes tracing the thin trail of smoke still rising from the burned trees. The smell of ash clung to everything—her hair, her skin, even the inside of her lungs. It reminded her of what she had done, and what she could never undo.Lucian had gone to meet the border patrols, leaving her under the guard of two younger wolves. They stood a few paces away, pretending not to stare at her, but she could feel it—how their eyes followed every move she made. They were afraid. She didn’t blame them. She pressed her hand against her chest, feeling the faint, rhythmic heat beneath her skin. The fire inside her never truly rested. It pulsed like a second heartbeat, quiet but always there, reminding her she was different. Cursed. She tried to focus on the sounds of the forest, the whisper of wind through the leaves, the crackle of distant flames dying out. But even the peace around her couldn’t si

  • The Luna's Secret Heir    The Eyes in the Dark

Sleep never came to Elena that night.Every time she closed her eyes, she saw those glowing eyes staring from the shadows—unblinking, silent, and full of something that wasn’t human.By dawn, the forest felt heavier than usual. A low fog hugged the ground, curling around her ankles as she made her way back to the cave. The air smelled of rain and smoke, and though the storm had passed days ago, she couldn’t shake the sense that something else was brewing—something worse.Lucian was already awake when she entered. He stood near the mouth of the cave, arms folded, watching the light creep over the trees. His wolf senses picked up her presence before she spoke.“You didn’t sleep,” he said without turning.Elena hesitated. “Neither did you.”He turned then, his eyes catching hers. There were dark circles beneath them, proof that the night had been as long for him as it had for her. “I felt something strange in the woods,” he said quietly. “A scent I didn’t recognize. It wasn’t one of ours

  • The Luna's Secret Heir    The Choice She Couldn’t Escape

The council meeting ended without a true decision, only a storm of tension left hanging in the air. The pack dispersed in uneasy clusters, their voices sharp whispers that scraped against Elena’s ears. She didn’t need to hear the words to know what they meant. Their glances told her everything—fear, suspicion, doubt. She stayed seated near the back even after the last wolf left the cavern, her hands curled into her lap, her chest aching as if a stone sat upon it. The fire inside her pulsed faintly, hot and restless, like a wild thing that refused to sleep.“Do not listen to them.”Lucian’s voice cut through the silence. He stepped toward her, broad shoulders casting long shadows against the stone. His eyes held the kind of steady strength that had always calmed her, but tonight even that wasn’t enough.“They’re afraid,” he admitted, crouching down so their eyes met. His hand brushed her arm, warm and grounding. “But fear doesn’t make them right. You are not their curse, Elena. You are

  • The Luna's Secret Heir    The Council Divided

The morning light barely touched the mouth of the cave when Lucian called the council together. The fire from the night before had left scars on the land and on the hearts of his people. Smoke still lingered in the distance, carried on the wind, a bitter reminder of what had happened.Inside the cavern, the atmosphere was thick with tension. The elders sat in a half-circle, their faces shadowed and grim. Warriors and hunters lined the edges of the space, their eyes sharp, their voices hushed. Every glance seemed to carry the same unspoken question: What do we do with her?Elena sat near the back, shoulders hunched, trying to make herself smaller. She could feel the weight of every stare, every whisper. Her skin burned, not from fire this time, but from shame.Lucian stood in the center, his presence commanding, his voice calm but edged with steel.“We survived the flames because we stood together,” he began, his gaze sweeping over the pack. “But let us be clear—the flames were not an
