I watched as Isabelle lightly traced small patterns on the veins on my hand, she'd taken an interest in them ever since we'd come back in the room. Layla had gone back to the guest room although there was a small hint of reluctance in her, that wasn't because of fear. It was about something else. She'd been my friend from childhood but the past few days I had seen an opposite side of her and it didn't make me want to like her anymore even as a friend. All that mattered to me was my mate who was now laying on the top of my body with half of her weight falling on the bed and her head on my chest.I could tell, she liked to my heartbeats because she did that more often as though she had found a strange sort of interest in them that I couldn't."Isabelle..." I called her name and she slowly looked up at me."Yeah?" She spoke, her sweet voice as always felt like a melody to my ears."Are you sure that you noticed bloodstaiKadenWe shifted back as the entrance of the bungalow came into our view. Everything around was destroyed, the windows were broken, there were dust and spider nets everywhere. Our car was parked at the bottom of the hill and to cut this distance short, we had to shift in our wolf forms so that we could reach soon as possible. Something about this place was skeptical, there was no reasonable footprint, nor there was anything that could indicate anyone's recent arrival to this place.I threw back my pant that I had tied on my leg before shifting, Jason dressed up too."Do you really think we can find any clue here? This looks....destroyed" His nose scrunched as he talked. There was a weird smell around, probably because of being abandoned for so many years. The tress and bushes had grown around the bungalow but I could see that this was well structured, I could see tell that this place was once decorated very nicely. On the corne
Isabelle."Kaden is going to be here in the morning."I reminded myself for the umpteenth time. I was terribly missing him, the constant worry of losing him bothering me even more. After that one bight that turned my entire life upside down, I never really found the courage to keep myself steady and carefree. After so many years of being locked in the same room and bearing their torture, I'd found my happiness in Kaden. I didn't want to lose him, at any cost. The entire world had gone cruel towards me even the nature who didn't bless me in fact only burdened me with sleepless long nights. Whilst I'd felt like the entire universe was against me, Kaden pulled me in his embrace that made me feel safer than ever. I'd found peace...in him.Once he come, I was going to tell him everything. About those monsters who killed my family in front of my own eyes, who destroyed my life and their motive behind it. I would not hide anything from him
IsabelleLayla's gaze slowly moved to look at the doorway, her hand instantly let go of my jaw in reflex. From what I had identified as malice in her eyes it unexpectedly turned into terror. She hastily stood up, taking a few steps backward in progress. The uneasiness in her movements was too evident to be ignored. On one hand, where the sight of Kaden made the fear combust in Layla, on the other hand, I found myself the long-lost relief returning within me thawing the ice that had coated my insides.Kaden's gaze got fixated on me, the anger in his eyes remaining unsettled but that was not directed at me. I tried to get up, but my arms didn't manage to support me as much as they needed so didn't my knees. It was then I realized when the sharp pain ripped through my knees that they were bruised, my hands were not in the best condition too.The cry escaped my lips before I could even get the chance to stop it and soon as the sound left my mouth
IsabelleEveryone else had returned to their rooms after Kaden's affirmation, the kit that Carter had brought was now in the hands of Kaden who now ever so gently disinfected the bruised area around my knees after covering the rest of the injuries. It turned out that I had gotten quite a few cuts on my arms and legs, including my lips and the stinging sensation on my cheek. My legs seemed to be the part that was most affected perhaps because of the way Layla had thrown me on the ground. It was my luck that saved me from breaking my bones. I looked at Kaden as he carefully tapped the disinfectant-soaked cotton ball on my bruise, the pain shot through almost instantly. I bit my bottom lip to stop the winch that was about to slip past my lips. The more these small reactions of me appeared, the more the gloom in Kaden's expression increased and I didn't want him to get sad or blame himself for something he hadn't any control over.
IsabelleI woke up in Kaden's arms. Unlike every time this morning, I was the one who woke up first and he was in a deep doze. Apparently, today there was a change in the position. Today Kaden's face was buried in my neck and the warm sensations of his breath were hitting my chest. He had productively wrapped his arms around my waist, the hold was not too tight to hurt me but it was tighter than other times. The smile stretched on my lips, I didn't even know why I was smiling but having him close felt good and full of warmth. I gently moved my fingers into his hair lightly playing with the locks, and ever so lightly untangling the small tangles that had appeared due to the long night. My fingers moved to massage his scalp on their own, and this made him shift a bit pushing himself a little bit lower, and now his face rested somewhere...well, very close to my breasts. The position made my cheeks flame also boosted the tingling that's tak
IsabelleHis lips moved with mine in sync, but there was so much intensity in his movement. I could barely keep up like every other time but another thing that'd added to my distraction that only seemed to build the heat more and more was his hands that were continuously exploring my body, his fingertips that traced on my inner thigh.I wanted to clench my thighs together but he was situated between them; The position gave him access to explore my body even more and I didn't seem to mind it at all."Can this come off?" He asked lightly tugging at the string of the sleeveless night suit I was wearing, his hot breath fanned on my face. The mixed trail of our saliva had coated both of our lips. Without needing to think twice, I nodded. He grinned at me and slowly undressed me, I wasn't wearing anything inside except for the panty that covered the most intimate part of my body. Kaden's eyes fell on my breasts, however, my inse
IsabelleWe'd returned to our room after taking our breakfast. Before we'd gone downstairs, everyone was concerned about my health due to the event of last night but after my assurance, I could see the relief that drew upon them.It felt nice to have people around who care for you.Kaden made me sit on his lap hugging me from behind after we hopped onto the bed, he didn't let me walk at all. He had to err carried me downstairs and the raw adoration that every of little gestures had made me feel happier than ever."Isabelle..." He began, the sudden hesitation in his voice was new.I lightly grabbed his arm and interlocked our fingers, leaning against him fully so that I could look at him and my fingers could skim his jaw."Say what you wanted to tell me," I said.He released a low breath at my sentence, his arms around me tightened."Being mates doesn't entirely mean being a couple," He divulged causing my b
KadenHer spread-out white wings had left me stunned in my place, she looked....ethereal. Her blue were shining like crystals that'd been discovered from the depth of the sea that matched the sea-blue eyes of hers perfectly. Her skin shimmered as the rays from the sun fell on her skin.A goddess of beauty and grace, the blue eyes and the innocence radiating from her as though she had landed straight from heaven....like an Angel."It all started when we moved into the bungalow in the hills, I didn't know the reason why we had moved there. Mom and used to always keep changing our locations, we didn't have any poverty, and my dad's business in the city was going well. He often used to out for work, but still, in between his hard work, he never failed to get time for us," She spoke, "The only reason I knew why they kept changing the location was because of my safety, they never took me out except for the night. Not that I complained, but I always had
