I covered her bruised body with my coat and carried her in my arms. I could hear her murmuring to herself, she was self blaming herself again like always. She probably will be thinking about how she could face me from now onwards! But I'm thinking how will I gain her trust again?

I was the one who asked her to believe in me and after rescuing her father, I fainted because I was shot by a silver bullet in my chest. It intoxicated my blood which resulted in my low healing ability.

It was thanks to the mate bond that I started feeling uneasiness in my heart all of sudden. I regained my consciousness and the first thing I did was order Rubex and Michael to prepare for an instant attack. I was able to track Eva's location with my scent, it was faint but still arrived at the right time.
