Eva’s POV

“Lock her in the dark dungeon!” A loud voice stated as the two men dragged my lifeless body inside the prison. My wrists and ankles were then chained down, locked in silver shackles. I couldn’t move an inch because of the low energy in my body and the excruciating pain in my body.

I lay down on the damp cold floor, my face resting on the dirt-covered blanket. I twitched my nostrils as the funky smell coming from the blanket reeked into my senses. However, I have no other choice than to endure it. I’m one of the Omega’s blood traders’ slaves. Every week they dragged me out of this prison to one well-lighted clinic.

There, one man wearing a white coat would inject something into my pulse, but it didn’t hurt much. After a few minutes, I would see my blood getting sucked out through a needle in my pulse and collected into one plastic bag.

“I don’t know why they’re doing this, but I can no longer endure the pain. My body is on its limit...,” I coughed, curling myself in pain.

If they continue to drain out my blood, I’ll die from blood loss. Even worse, I have no recollection of my origins, upbringing, or history with my family or pack and how I got caught and locked in this horrible place! I don’t remember a thing!

‘To be honest, I no longer have a connection with my wolf side.’

Tears rolled down my cheeks as the overwhelming emotions pressured me.

THUD! THUD!

“Hey, it’s dinner time.”

The manager of this blood trading roared angrily while the workers slid the plate of meatballs inside each prisoner’s cell. I crawled toward using my hand, dragging my injured knees. My hand reached for the aluminum plate of meatballs.

Others will puke at the glimpse of this food. Anyone can tell it’s rotten meat from last month...’ I muttered, sighing, grabbing one meatball.

“What are you sighing for?” The manager asked, showing his torch on my face. I couldn’t help but close my eyes to avoid the blinding light focusing on me.

He walked close to my cell and, bending forward, he said sarcastically, “eat up every piece without wasting it; otherwise, you all will be starved for two days.”

My body shuddered in terror, imagining the stuff the manager would do with me if I made him angry. With my trembling hands, I brought the meatball near my mouth. I opened my chapped mouth to swallow the smelly meat.

“ARGH!”

I gagged while swallowing the meatball. My mouth churned in disgust as the rotten juice of meat squeezed into my mouth. I wanted to throw up instantly but seeing the manager; I somehow swallowed it without chewing.

“Eat another piece, you disgusting slave!”

‘No, I can’t... I will throw up...’ I clenched my fingers holding another piece. I slowly brought the meatball near my mouth, and the smell of it continued to make me feel nauseous.

“EAT IT UP NOW!” the manager shouted. He definitely likes torturing the enslaved people.

And just what I feared happened to me. I vomited everything I had swallowed, dirtying the floor.

“You dare to waste the food given to you?!” The manager roared angrily while unlocking my cell door. He was holding a leather whip in his hand.

In between, I was confused…“should I beg him for mercy? Will he be useful? No!’ I lowered my head in front of him to receive my punishment.

Without even flinching a second, the manager landed a hard burning whip on my back, tearing off my outermost skin. My newly healed wounds instantly opened, and thick red blood gushed, soaking the stale blood.

At this point, I don’t wish to live. I want to die, but something is stopping me from dying. That little hope for life is still burning in my heart. I wish someone could save me from this dumpster.

“How pitiful! You were such a beauty when first brought in here,” the manager said, pausing from whipping me. He sat in front of me and stroked my face with his left hand. Sliding my lingering hair strands behind the ear, he whispered,” Sleep with me whenever I feel like and in return, I’ll provide you good food.”

‘What is he babbling about?’ I cursed within myself, crawling backward. I will never let my body be used for such a reason. It’s not in my blood to become a sex slave.

Seeing me getting distance, the manager grabbed my wrist, pulling me close to him. He grabbed a handful of my hair and unbuttoned my shirt with his other hand.

“Don’t make a fuss when you’re about to die,” he cursed, ripping off my shirt’s buttons. I placed both my hands together holding my body.

“No, leave me...” I cried, sliding backward into one corner.

The manager smirked as he started unbuttoning his shirt. He walked towards me, cornering me close.

“Suck it up,” he cursed, unzipping his pants.

“No...!”

BANG! BANG!

“Run, save your life. The hunters of Blood Moon Pack have raided us.”

The sacred voices of workers reverberated into the prison. I looked around in bewilderment.

“W…What?!” I saw the manager quickly zipping up his pants and running out of my prison.

The sounds of wolves pawing and loud roars rattled my inner soul. The continuous noises and the smell of blood invaded my sensitive nose. It seems like the rumored hunters are here to save us from these blood traders.

Suddenly my vision started getting blurry. My head felt heavy while my body temperature went down. I gradually collapsed on the ground; my eyes still half open. I saw someone’s shadowy figure walking into the prison. But I could no longer endure the dizziness. I closed my eyes after seeing the pair of boots standing close to my face.
