Chapter Thirteen

As we walked through the dimly lit corridors, my heart pounded in my chest, with anxiety coursing through my veins. I followed the enigmatic woman closely, my steps tentative and my expression etched with fear.

The fact that I was being brought beyond the Pet's quarters without Murad's permission further added to my anxiety. I wasn't sure whether following along with this woman was the correct thing to do while knowing that I may get in big trouble.

Finally, after what felt like forever walking to an unknown destination, we arrived inside a room that was utterly unfamiliar to me, making me even more nervous.

The lady pushed the door open, and I hesitantly stepped inside, my eyes scanning the room for any signs of danger, just in case something crazy was about to happen. Once we were inside, she locked the door behind us, leaving me feeling trapped and vulnerable to whatever the lady in front of me could do to me.
