CHAPTER THIRTY-ONE

"Damn him, stupid son of the devil!" Emilia cussed, still pacing the length of the room with her fist bunched by her side. She stopped and touched her stomach tentatively as pain from hunger sizzled through her body once more.

It has been thirty minutes already since the girl told her she was going to do something to help her. Where in goddess sake is she? Emilia stepped back until her back touched the wall, raising her head back to withhold herself from doing something drastic if more time passed and there was no sight of good news.

Her thought was interrupted when the door handle shuddered. At once her sharp orbs flew in the direction of the door, lifting from the wall, half expecting the doe-eyed girl to step through the door but instead, Milan walked through.

Her lips pursed dangerously, the anger roaring through her surpassing her common judgment. Even her hunger. She quickly looked down at the floor and closed her eyes. She never feels angry. She isn't supposed to feel angry bec
