Chapter 110

Lucinda's POV.

I stood in the room with Darcus, the air around us thick enough to choke on.

I watched as he walked back and forth around the room fuming. His hands clenched and unclenched like he didn’t know what to do with them, like they could either grip a sword or strangle someone, and he hadn’t made up his mind yet.

I swallowed hard.

My heart was drumming so violently against my ribs it felt like it might knock me over. And maybe that was why the floor tilted a little. Or maybe it was just him.

His rage had a gravity of its own.

“You’re too quiet,” he growled, his back turned to me. “Why are you so damn quiet, Lucinda?”

I blinked rapidly as I threw my gaze down to the floor.

I was this quiet because I didn't even know what the hell was going on. I couldn't understand where all his accusations and fury was coming from.

“I'm still trying to figure out what exactly I did to deserve this attitude,” I said carefully, like my words were a thread and he was holding a knife to cut it.

Lucinda's POV. Even though we had walked to the part where I was no longer going to start worrying about anything, I was a little bit too occupied for my liking and I didn't think he was going to understand the difference between what was going on and what needed to be really done. It was something that I was hoping they would be a balance between and I would not have to worry my head over something that made absolutely no sense. I was content with everything that I had gotten so far but it wasn't enough because all I kept thinking about was how I would progress to the next level and make sure that he understood that he had been lied to and these people were so confident in their abilities. "You look a little bit worried and I wonder why. We are supposed to have fun here and not otherwise." Darcus spoke. It would be stupid for me to start thinking about something of this sort when I could just relax gently and see how far I could go with my own abilities. "You should be worried

Lucinda's POV. Going on our second honeymoon was not as glamorous as I thought it would be because I had a continuous headache and it was almost as though it would never vanish. I didn't know what to keep on doing as I just kept on watching and hoping that one of these days I will be able to finally ascertain what was wrong with me. Typing on my phone and informing Marcus of my latest movement made me laugh because his responses kept me on my feet. “You honestly think that this man does not care about you? He practically worships the ground that you walk on. He wants to make you happy most of the time and sometimes I get jealous of you. Have you told him about the kids?” He dropped the bombshell and I immediately started frowning. “I don't think I want to be in that person's position. What have they done to anger you this much that you cannot even hide your expressions? Are you tired of something or what is the issue?” Darcus came out from nowhere and started staring into my eyes

Author's POV. Killian stopped where he was, looking sideways, waiting for the perfect time that he would be able to bring his plans to fruition. Lucinda had managed to get that alpha wrapped around his fingers and made him look like a total buffoon. He was ready to change that immediately and make sure that she suffered for her actions. He wasn't going to allow her to justify herself anymore or allow Samantha's father to get away with his plans. In fact he was going to call them himself and make them realize that he was ready to fight. He was ready to make her feel his power. She had thought that he was weak because he had loved her and now is the time for him to strike in such an unimaginable way. The only thing that was stopping him was the fact that he didn't want to look like he was a stupid person and reach out to his enemies himself but without all of that, he was ready to dig it out until the lady no longer was able to breathe. As soon as he saw Samantha's call he picke

  • The Lycan King’s Favorite Breeder   Chapter 118

Lucinda's POV. Opening my mouth to continue speaking, I threw up all over his shoes. I was expecting him to lash out on me and wonder why I was just being so deliberately wicked to him but he picked me up immediately and carried me into the bathroom. This was one of the reasons I could never leave him alone no matter what he did. He was used to being betrayed all the time and didn't know how to handle pieces of information without using his strength to make his points known.I was very concerned about what he was going to think of me now that I had decided to mess things up. "I'm taking you to the hospital immediately. I don't think that this is an ordinary sickness and even if you try to fight me, we might end up parting ways today." He reminded me instantly and I started to laugh. This was one of the people that made me feel at home whenever I had the chance to. He would never make me feel like I was a fool or I didn't deserve some kind of love. He gave me the proper attention

  • The Lycan King’s Favorite Breeder   Chapter 117

Lucinda's POV. The only thing that I could think of was how I will be able to navigate this without anybody being able to point fingers at me. I had wasted my time in the previous years trying to prove something that made absolutely no sense but never again. If anyone was not pleased with the way I decided to live my life, then they could go ahead and start shouting but for me, I was going to make sure that I had something tangible going on for myself that wasn't going to shake. Darcus and I were going for a trip but I decided to feel uneasy. Something was dragging in my stomach but I didn't just know what it was. The only thing that I realized after some time was the fact that I was always active even when I felt like giving up or just sleeping. It was almost as if something was pulling me and trying to make me work my ass off. What might have sounded as though I was joking was true, uh I wasn't about to joke with it. The thoughts of being pregnant played in my head but I quick

Author's POV. Daston didn't like the way their fight ended because it only meant that he had lost in all ramifications and he would not even understand how he was supposed to start all over again. There was something about Lucinda that he didn't quite understand and nobody was able to give him sufficient reason why he should allow this lady go without making her pay for her crimes. He was thinking so much and nothing was making sense. The only thing that made sense was the fact that he had managed to settle scores with the mere fact Darcus was wasting his time and energy trying to have a woman that was not his. Greg, came as though he was summoned. This was the best time for him to come up with whatever idea he had in mind and execute them before they were taken out of his hands. He was one of the people who had worked so hard so that he would be able to have a life. Nothing was as annoying as trying to figure out what to do next, especially in a dilemma. "Isn't that Lucinda mo
