Author's POV. Lucinda put all her thoughts aside to make a very beautiful meal for her family. The head of the maids came and was so surprised to see her doing the cooking, when she could have just asked one of the maids. She approached her, and asked her to stop, so the maids would be able to continue helping her. But Lucinda refused politely. Cooking was some sort of therapy for her and she really needed that. Author's POV. After breakfast, Lucinda was about to take a walk around the house when Darcus told her that he had a surprise for her. "Aww, Darcus. You really shouldn't have. I didn't get you anything," She cooed, while hugging him tightly. "No, I wanted to do this because I'm happy that we're finally doing this. We get to do life together, that's more than enough.
