Kohen's POV “You don't have much time left. If you don't find a golden blood soon and feed on their energy, you'll die at the age of twenty-five. It's the only way to cure the curse.” “Great. At least I still have five years left, huh? I better live my life to the fullest.”I said sarcastically. “You know what? Maybe you deserve it for screwing around and treating women like shit. That's what you get for hurting a woman with witch blood. Play around and find out, huh?”Reina said with a scoff. Imagine getting cursed when I was twenty because some shewolf—whom I later find out to have witch blood—couldn't accept the fact that I can't love her. And that she was nothing but an itch I needed to scratch. “With how advanced our technology is, you're still using a crystal ball?” I snorted and played with a crystal ball she had in her house by throwing it in the air. “Let's say that what you're saying is true, that there is a golden blood out there. Would I even find them before I die? Hell, do they even exist? You said the last one died years ago.” “Look, I only heard of them from my grandmother and I didn't think they existed as well, but I saw her in my vision—it was shown to me,”Reina walked over and snatched the ball from me. “It's up to you if you want to believe it or not. What do I care if you die out there? Your life is a gamble now, Kohen. Whether you find her or not is not my business anymore.” “Well, It would be nice if your vision comes with a face or an address at least.” “Get out of my house and start looking, jackass.” I smirked and shook my head. “You're the only one who can treat me like that and get away with it.” “And the only woman you haven't fucked,”she retorted. “Mm-hmm, it's not too late to try.”I winked at her and licked my lips. Reina smiled and attempted to throw one of her knives at me but I dodged it effortlessly and left her house laughing. I searched for someone with a golden blood that no one in this world has ever heard of aside from Reina who saw her in her vision. Days turned to years and I had turned twenty-three with no sight of the golden blood. I searched everywhere. I traveled around the world to find her and Reina told me that I would know it was her once I found her. I almost gave up until I found myself in the woods when I smelled an intoxicating smell that doesn't belong in a place reeking of death and surrounded by darkness. It was a mixture of lavender, rose and honey—a smell that reminds me of the warmth of the sun in the middle of a cold winter. Something... alive. A rogue, also known as the infamous beast living in the woods, jumped at me out of nowhere and I easily crushed his head in my hand and I shifted. The place reeks of rogues and I knew I'd have no choice but to fight. “Pft. Pathetic. And they call you the beast? Now where are you, little one?” I followed where the scent is stronger and witnessed something repulsive. I masked my presence in order not to be found out and watched everything unfold in front me. I was amused watching the little human attempt to outrun the rogues. I was entertained hearing her blabbering non-sense and praying to her God who's clearly not listening. "Your God isn't here, human. I am.” I jumped in time before she became a snack for the group of hungry rogues. And when I inhaled her blood, fuck, it took everything in me not to devour her right there and then. The terrified human looked at me with a pair of forest green eyes filled with so much fear that I quite enjoyed. She possesses a body that anyone would lose their mind for. A beautiful face that a whole nation would fight over. But at the end of the day, she's still nothing but a mere human. This is the woman that could save me? A weak human being? I let her go and followed her until I was sure she was safe. I then went back to the place where I left my bike before taking a trip back to the mountain creek where Black Mountain resides. Only to witness the poor little human is being surrounded and ridiculed like she had just murdered someone. “Who are you?! How dare you act like this in front of our Alpha!” “Why are you surrounding the poor thing like lasagna? Let her breathe," I said. A man, who I'm guessing was the Alpha, stepped closer to me and I stared directly into his eyes. “Look, sir. You're not a member of my pack so I will let this slide. Leave. You have no business here.” I ignored the man's words and I arched my eyebrow when I saw two familiar people standing close to each other. “Ah, I know you. Didn't you leave this woman in the woods last night? That's not nice. She could have been eaten by the rogues.”I shook my head and dismounted my bike without taking my helmet off. A collective gasp was heard and everyone's attention turned to the couple whose face turned pale. “What did you say last night? Right. You wanted to get rid of her for good so you can avoid divorce—which is pathetic by the way.”I continued to mock the man and it angered him more. “Is that true? That's terrible!” “I can't believe it. Can Olga really do that?” “Henry's an active member of the church. I doubt he'll do it.” “H-He's a stranger! How could you believe him over us? For all we know, he's with Elowen and they planned this!” Elowen. So that's the human's name. It suits her. “How could we take a word from a stranger like him? Who do you think you are to accuse us?!” I let out a sigh and removed my helmet. “Can you recognize me now?” In a second, the mighty Alpha was on his knees before me. “Your highness!” When he saw that everyone around him was still standing, he yelled at them, “He's Prince Kohen, the second prince of the royal family of lycans! Kneel or you lose your heads!”The Real Killer Elowen's POV"Stop punishing your sister, love. She didn't mean it. She just wanted to help me." I tried convincing my husband, who had just locked his sister in her palace."Stop defending her, Elowen. She's not a child. She knew the weight of her words. She should have known the effect it would cause. She put you in danger, damn it!" I sighed and hugged him from behind, leaning my forehead against his strong back."They would have found out either way, Kohen. We both know it won't be long before words get out. I know you are angry because you want to protect me, but don't put the pressure on your sister, hmm?" Kohen turned around and took me in his arms. I sighed in bliss and melted in his embrace."I guess I am just angry that nothing seems to be working out. Whenever you are happy, something will happen to ruin it. It's like you don't have the right to experience happiness.""That is why every happiness, memories and moments should be treasured, love. Stop worry
The Hero They See as a VillainElowen's POVIn the end, Reina didn't explain what she meant. And I didn't force her because I had a feeling she wasn't sure herself. She simply assured me that she will help me figure it out and she discreetly took a sample of my blood. The following days became busy to me and I noticed that the bruises were slowly fading, but I still feel lethargic sometimes. The only thing that drives me to move is Kohen and my passion.I was in-charge of redecorating the pond, gazebo, garden and the pavilion. I sketched a blueprint first and made sure it looked close to how it looked like before and submitted it to the king. "Hmm, I like how you kept the old design and added your own touch, princess. Truth is, I've been wanting to redecorate that place anyway." King Dorian added some things he wanted, but surprisingly did not change anything from my design. It was strange being treated nicely by him when I was a mere stranger who forced her way to his family befo
Worsening ConditionElowen's POVI woke up feeling sore all over and I felt so weak that I couldn't even lift my arms and feet. When I checked my body, I noticed that I had bruises on some parts of my body. The events last night came back to me and I felt embarrassed by how I acted last night, but then smiled when I remembered Kohen comforting me and telling me he loves me. Our topic made me feel insecure and sad, and that is why I drank more than usual, but what Kohen said eased my mind and made me feel secure. I forced myself to sit down and released a groan when my whole body protested. Kohen and I overdid it, but I don't think I should be feeling weak like this. Not to mention the bruises on my skin. I glanced at the clock and my eyes widened when I saw that it was four in the afternoon. I dragged myself to the bathroom to take a bath, although I knew that my husband had already wiped me clean. I wore long sleeves and pants to hide the bruises from my friends and Kohen becaus
Late HoneymoonKohen's POVI came back to my quarters before midnight and thank God the girls were done because I couldn't stay a moment in that party. It was filled with lies, pride, ego and nothing but arrogance. Those who contributed so little and even had the guts to run away, boasted about doing something and saving the world but it was nothing but a load of bull. The one who made the most contribution is my wife, but my father and I agreed not to tell everyone about what she did for her safety. The demon might be dead, but we still have enemies out there, just waiting for the right moment to strike us, and they might use Elowen for their own gain."How did she get this wasted?" I asked her servants and friends who bowed their heads in shame and apology.Elowen was lying on the sofa and she was out of it. She was moving her hands around while singing a song I don't even know. "And you promised me a honeymoon," I sighed in disappointment but carried her wasted self in my arms.
Girl's Night Part TwoElowen's POV“Rhea has arrived, your highness.”Tears automatically gathered in my eyes as soon as I saw my best friend entering. My body moved before I could stop myself and I threw my arms around her.“You're safe,” I breathed emotionally, pulling back a little so I could check her face and body to make sure she wasn't hurt. “Thank God you're safe, Rhea. I was so worried about you. That demon copied your face and I thought he...” I choked before I could continue, unable to finish my sentence.“I'm safe, your highness. I guess I wasn't interesting enough for him to kill.” My best friend joked and we laughed together. “How about you? I heard what happened just this morning and I was worried sick, but I heard everyone's okay.”“Everything should be back to normal from now on. We can live our lives normally again.” I said and a wave of happiness hit me, but then I remembered my vision and it vanished in a snap. But the thing is, I can't let that vision ruin the h
This is Chapter 124, and the previous chapter is 123. I'm sorry for the mishap. *Girl's NightElowen's POVThe very next day, I told Kohen that I wanted to personally check if Rhea was okay because I couldn't reach her number. I didn't want to attract attention and I knew he was busy, so I assured him that I will be fine and that Jake will be with me. “The execution is today.” Kohen reminded me before I went and I just shrugged. “He deserved it for being a traitor. I am not really interested in seeing it. My best friend is more important, Kohen.”My husband looked satisfied by my answer and it looks like he suddenly remembered something. “I visited them last night... and he was acting strange. Did you have anything to do with it perhaps?”It was not really a question but a confirmation. And because he didn't want to offend me. “Yes,” I confirmed with a slow nod. “I showed him Olga's death and it would be the only thing he will remember before he dies.”A smile showed on his lips
A Taste of Your Own Medicine Elowen's POV“What?”I asked in pure disbelief. Did I just hear it right? Did my ex, who cheated on me, left me to be killed, and rubbed it in my face that his mistress is better than me, just tell me that he wants me back? The audacity! “Please, Elowen. I know what
What Am I?Elowen's POVOlga was officially disowned by her family along with Henry.I thought I would feel bad somehow because after all, wishing someone misfortune or death isn't in my nature. I always knew I was a good person who lived honestly without hurting other people.Even when I was old e
The Sheep and The WolfElowen's POV“I'm sorry if I dragged you into this mess, Elowen. God, I didn't think that she could possibly influence you like this. Even in death, she still wants to torture people and Kohen.”I left Reina's house with my mind in turmoil and feet moving without direction.E
Saved AgainElowen's POV“Elowen?!”“Le gasp!”“Hallelujah!”I almost wanted to crawl in a hole and hide because of my friends' not-so reaction when they saw me. Their loud voices caused heads to turn to us and now I have a lot of people gawking at my appearance.“I didn't know all of those were hi
