Elowen's POV “Your words will only have an impact according to your title, huh?” I could barely hear what the lycan was saying. A prince? I never had an encounter with anyone from the royal family. They are said to be sacred and powerful, so naturally, a slave like me wouldn't have any chance to see them. Through my blurry gaze, I saw him stepping over Alpha Grayson, which earned a lot of violent and shocked reactions for disrespecting him. “We beg for your forgiveness, your highness. We failed to recognize you.” Whispers from the people I grew up with reached my ear. “Is that really the second prince? I heard he's apathetic and ruthless, but why does he seem so playful?” “Don't let that fool you. Lycans are a lot stronger than werewolves and he can crush our skulls with bare hands.” “I heard he's killed so many, so you better keep your mouth shut because he can hear you.” “How long will you lay there on the dirt? You look stupid. Do you want them to ridicule you some more?” I stared at the pair of leather boots in front of me and dragged my eyes up to meet a set of familiar eyes—those captivating eyes that stared at me as if he had just seen something he needed. As if I mattered to him somehow. “I-It's you.” “It's time to eat you up, human.” he smirked and pulled me on my feet. “I always thought that Black Mountain is one of the greatest packs out there, but witnessing what happened today, I was wrong,”he muttered, “I'm disappointed with how you handled things here, Alpha Grayson. You can do a lot more than that.” “I will take your advice to heart, your highness.” “From now on, this one belongs to me. Anyone who touches her will have to speak to me.” The second prince shot everyone a warning look that made them weak on their knees. It was an amusing sight. They were looking at me earlier like I was a mere dirt under their shoe. But now they couldn't even look him in the eyes. I gasped when he carried me in his arms without any warning and wrapped my arm around his neck so I wouldn't fall. He gently placed me on his bike and put his helmet on me. “Next time, you leave a room where no one wants you. No excuses.” My eyes shifted to where Olga and Henry were kneeling on the ground and he shut the visor, as if stopping me from looking at them. He mounted his bike and turned it on, the beautiful purr of the bike filled the whole place. He suddenly took my hands and had them wrapped around his waist. I panicked a little because I knew touching the royals could cause you your head, but I found that I had no strength to argue. “You better hold on tight.” “Where are you taking me?” I asked in a small voice. “Somewhere far from here.” Kohen took me to a house located inside a forest. I didn't even realize we stopped because I was crying the whole time. He got off his bike and removed his helmet, snorting loudly when he saw my face. “Stop crying over someone like that. Does he have a big dick or something? Because that is the only reason you should be crying.” I was flabbergasted by his offensive remark and it gave me the impression that although he saved me, this prince is still a jerk. “Let's go. You need to meet someone.” He helped me off his bike and I followed him as he entered the house like he owns it and witnessed how he easily caught a flying knife just in time before it hit his face. “Oh, it's you.”I heard a woman saying but I couldn't see her because Kohen was blocking my sight. I stepped to the side and saw a gorgeous woman with bright red hair and black eyes. “Why? You didn't see me coming through your vision?” Reina ignored him and walked past him to look without taking her eyes off me. “Who's this? Don't tell me you're—" “You told me to look for her and I did. There's your golden blood.” The woman gasped loudly, her eyes popping out of their sockets and she covered her mouth. “What's golden blood?”I wondered, totally confused. “A small group of healers thousand years ago, and you are a reincarnation of them,”Reina answered with her eyes sparkling. “They thought you were a myth so you're not written in history, but you're here.” “That is impossible. I am a simple human.” “Stop gawking and tell me how to get rid of the curse. Do I need to fuck the energy out of her or eat her flesh and drink her blood?” I instantly paled because of what he said. “Please don't mind him. His brain is in his dick so it's all he can think about. Let's sit and I will explain everything to you.” Reina took me to the sofa and explained everything. He told me about Kohen's curse and that I was the only one who could save him. She said that she saw me in her vision and told me everything she knows about golden blood. I had a hard time wrapping my head around it and felt overwhelmed. “So what you're trying to tell me... is that I am the only one who can get rid of the curse inside him? B-But how?” “Because you are pure, and like I said, you came from a clan of healers. The curse cast upon him is a dark energy that will slowly weaken his body as he is near the age of twenty-five. The energy inside you can cleanse the curse inside him.” “Does that mean he needs to–to eat me?”I stuttered. Tears gathered in my eyes at the thought, but then I realized what's good about being alive anyway? It's endless torture. “Maybe I should. To help the world get rid of a stupid human who's given up on life just because her husband chose another woman.” “I've already done my research and the only way to cleanse your body from it without harming Elowen... is through sex.” “Why should I help him?”I found myself asking, not liking how he's treating me. “Because I saved you twice and because you have no choice. If you refuse, and if you tell anyone about this, I will tear you to pieces before I kill you.”he threatened without a hint of a smile on his face and I cowered away from his gaze. Reina sighed heavily. “Can't you be nice for a second? She will be helping you extend your life, jerk. You should be kissing her feet.” “Alright. What do you want me to do for you to help me? Give and take. You will give me what I need and I will give you what you want.” I bowed my head and gave it some thought. I remembered what Henry said and why he wanted to divorce me. He said he wants power, and he'd use Olga to gain it. They would be out there living like they didn't just attempt to kill me. Well, maybe this is my chance to make them pay for what they did. They want power? I will take it from them and leave them with nothing. I stared at Kohen with tears no longer falling from my eyes .“I want to punish Henry and Olga for what they did to me.”Give and TakeElowen's POV“Your words will only have an impact according to your title, huh?”I could barely hear what the lycan was saying. KneelKohen's POV“You don't have much time left. If you don't find a golden blood soon and feed on their energy, you'll die at the age of twenty-five. It's the only way to cure the curse.”“Great. At least I still have five years left, huh? I better live my life to the fullest.”I said sarcastically.“You know what? Maybe you deserve it for screwing around and treating women like shit. That's what you get for hurting a woman with witch blood. Play around and find out, huh?”Reina said with a scoff.Imagine getting cursed when I was twenty because some shewolf—whom I later find out to have witch blood—couldn't accept the fact that I can't love her. And that she was nothing but an itch I needed to scratch.“With how advanced our technology is, you're still using a crystal ball?”I snorted and played with a crystal ball she had in her house by throwing it in the air.“Let's say that what you're saying is true, that there is a golden blood out there. Would I even find them before I die? He
The Ridiculed WifeElowen's POVI blinked and he disappeared back into the darkness. I was left confused as to what the hell just happened, especially the healed cut on my palm.I didn't give myself time to ponder what happened and quickly stood on my feet. I ignored my injured leg and dragged myself back to the direction of my house to make them pay for what they did to me.I don't know how, but somehow I will. The night soon turned to morning and the sun was up when I finally arrived at my house with a broken and swollen ankle. I panted hard and licked my dry lips. I was thirsty and I would pass out anytime soon, but my hatred fueled my body enough to keep standing.“What the fuck? Are you seeing what I'm seeing, Henry?”Henry and Olga, who appeared to be leaving, rushed to where I was. They were happily laughing at each other before I arrived. None of them looked happy that I was alive. And why would they be? When they left me to die.“Fuck! Why did you come back, Elowen? Why did y
The Beast in the WoodsElowen's POVWhen I came to, my head was pounding like crazy and I found that I couldn't move or talk. My hands were tied and my mouth was covered with tape.“I'm sorry, El. I really am. I only married you because I felt sorry for you, and because I was lonely when Olga left me. Now I realize that I could be someone and not just a mere slave.”I shook my head to clear my vision and saw that I was taken to the woods.“You should have signed the divorce paper, Elowen,”Olga whispered in my ear. “Now there won't be any traces of you left.”My eyes widened in horror and I attempted to free myself and scream for help but my effort was futile.“I wouldn't do that if I were you, El. You might attract the feral beast and it will eat you alive.”I screamed at them. I asked for help, I begged for mercy, but they ignored me and walked away with Olga waving at me with a sadistic look in her eyes. Henry didn't even look back at me and wrapped his arm around her. They just lef
Left to be Eaten AliveElowen's POV“I told you already. I didn't steal anything. I'm being falsely accused!”I defended myself for the fifth time.Imagine working your ass off just to make a living because your husband refuses to leave the couch, and you're suddenly accused and arrested for stealing.“Yeah? And the money magically appeared in your bag, huh?”Martin, the manager of the mart I was working at, sarcastically retorted.“Martin, I've been working with you for two years now. If I intended to steal, I would have done so a long time ago.”I desperately defended myself. Martin dramatically rolled his eyes.“I'm done talking to this thief. Officer, just lock her up because I have no intention of forgiving her. She needs to be taught a lesson.”“No!”I cried and tried reaching for him but he was already gone and the officer pushed me back on the chair. “Martin, please!”My voice remained unheard and I was thrown in a holding cell where I would wait for my fate. “I am not a thief,”
