Jensen's Point of View

I sit at my desk, the soft hum of the pack house in the background as my fingers hover over the keyboard. The quiet of the office, usually a comforting companion, feels a little more pressing today. The wedding’s just a week away, and there’s still a lot to be done. But the invitation needs to go out now, before I start getting lost in everything else that needs attention.

Rosalee’s been on my mind, the way she looked when she talked about the wedding. So much happiness, so much light in her eyes. I want this day to be perfect for her. I want her to have everything she deserves, everything I can give her.

With a deep breath, I pull up the list of alliance packs, their representatives saved in my contacts from past meetings and communications. I compose a quick, simple email, one that conveys the importance of the occasion without overcomplicating things.

The cursor blinks on the screen for a moment as I think over the words.

  • The Lycan King's Hybrid Mate   Chapter 161

Rosalee's Point of ViewSunlight pours in through the window in soft, golden waves, dancing across the bedroom walls like it knows today is meant to be beautiful. Everything feels a little magical, a little more vibrant, like the whole world knows it's my wedding day.Piper hums quietly as she stands behind me, carefully pinning soft curls into place. Her swollen belly brushes gently against the back of my chair every so often, and she just chuckles and mutters apologies under her breath. I smile. I wouldn't want anyone else helping me get ready. The room smells faintly of roses and fresh air drifting in from the open window. I can hear the distant rustle of the wind through the trees near the lake. The sound soothes me, even as my heart flutters with nerves and excitement."You're glowing," Piper says, stepping back to admire her work.I meet my own eyes in the mirror, hardly recognizing myself. My hair is swept back in loose, romantic curls, with a few strands falling around my face

  • The Lycan King's Hybrid Mate   Chapter 160

Jensen's Point of ViewThe afternoon sun filters through the blinds of my office, casting slanted shadows across the hardwood floor and the stacks of papers on my desk. I sit back in my chair, the leather creaking under the shift of my weight as I flip through the latest report in my hands, one of several that have taken up most of my desk this week. It’s been a few days since the last attack on the werewolf packs. The silence since has been unsettling, the kind that doesn’t bring peace but tension, like the eye of a storm. I had hoped the lull might mean things were calming down, but deep down, I know better.I set one report down and pick up the next. Both are from our trackers, seasoned, reliable wolves I trust with my life. They spent days embedded within the two packs that were attacked, following every broken branch, every scent trail, every fragment of evidence. But their conclusions are identical. The Lycans were rogues. No pack scent. No identifiable affiliations.Just shadow

  • The Lycan King's Hybrid Mate   Chapter 159

Rosalee's Point of View The sunlight pours in through the tall windows of the office, casting warm golden patches across the wooden floor. I sit cross legged on the rug in front of the coffee table, surrounded by open notebooks, fabric swatches, and clipped together mood boards. Piper is perched on the loveseat with a pen tucked behind her ear, flipping through a wedding binder she brought from her own Luna ceremony. Nyx sits beside me, sorting through a handful of flower samples, her fingers brushing over soft petals and fragrant herbs. There’s a low hum of excitement in the air, and I can’t help but smile as I glance around the room, my office now. It’s still strange thinking of it that way, but it fits. This space, once Jensen’s alone, now carries the soft, steady rhythm of women planning something beautiful together. “I was thinking,” I say, tugging a dusty blue swatch closer, “we could line the path to the lake with lanterns and pale blush flowers. Maybe baby’s breath and p

  • The Lycan King's Hybrid Mate   Chapter 157

Rosalee's Point of ViewI sit across from Jensen in his office, the tray of breakfast between us on his desk. The scent of coffee and warm toast fills the air, but his fork moves slowly, distractedly, like he's only eating because he knows he should.I watch him for a moment in silence, the crease between his brows deeper than usual, his jaw tight as if he's holding back thoughts he doesn’t want to speak out loud.“Are you sure everything is fine?” I ask gently, not accusing, just wanting him to open up. “You still look... tense.”He pauses, his eyes meeting mine. For a second, I think he might brush it off again, but then he exhales slowly, setting his fork down with a quiet clink.“I don’t like these Lycan attacks on the werewolves,” he admits. “We just put an end to the attacks from the werewolves. Things were finally settling down. The pack’s recovering, starting to breathe again, and now this?”He shakes his head, frustration clear in the way his fingers tap against the edge of h

  • The Lycan King's Hybrid Mate   Chapter 156

Jensen's Point of View The morning light filters softly through the curtains, casting golden slivers across the sheets. I stir slowly, blinking against the light, the warmth of the room wrapping around me like a cocoon. Rosalee is still curled beside me, one leg draped over mine, her cheek pressed gently to my shoulder. Her breathing is soft and even, peaceful. And still... still, I feel like I’m floating. Last night plays in my mind like a slow melody: the way she looked at me, trusted me, loved me. Every part of it lingers in my chest like a deep, quiet ache that I never want to go away. I shift slightly, brushing my fingers down her spine. She stirs, and her eyes blink open, heavy with sleep and something softer, something that makes my chest feel too full. “Morning,” I whisper, kissing the top of her head. She smiles, slow and content, and when she kisses me back it’s all heat and warmth, no rush, just connection. We melt into each other again, tangled in soft sheets a
