Rynari's POV
"What do you mean? You're investigating Ralph Davis? I know that he's not that fond of investigations, especially when the investigation is about him. In fact, he hates it so much. How are you going to obtain information from someone like him?" he asked me. I crossed my legs and put my chin on my palm. He intensely stared at me.
"I am not going to ask him personally, I'm gonna ask these missing people. They know something about him and I plan to obtain information about the mines from them," I answered. He nodded his head.
I can't believe that he knows about him. I swear that I really thought that he does not know about him. He seemed to be investigating him too. I just hope that he's a good person. There's just something about him that makes me feel like trusting
Rynari's POV "E-Endrée! Stop! Ahhh! I can't do this anymore--!" I protested. He only pounded faster and my knees shook. I arched my back and bit my lip to stop myself from moaning. Diego is just outside the door. He growled lowly and grabbed a fistful of my hair. I moaned and played with his hair as he kissed me like a savage. He licked my cheeks and bit my earlobe. I gasped raspily and bit his jaw. "No, I missed you. I'm doing this to rid you of another man's scent! You should be grateful to me, my Love. Didn't you miss me?" he said and asked me. I tightened my hold on him and he smirked and then he bit my shoulder. Goodness! "Of course I missed--Ahhh! B-be gentle!" I squealed and shouted at him a
Rynari’s POV I wish this would just end. He’s been dancing with me for who knows how long and I still have no idea how to contact Diego. He said that if I’m not back by ten then he would go to the ball and search for me. “So tell me, why did you decide to go to this ball?” Hendry asked. I reluctantly stared at him. He wants to know why I went to this ball? Why is he curious about me? “Oh, I know that look. You are confused as to why I’m asking you this question. Well, to be frank, you remind me of someone,” he said and spun me around. I gasped when he abruptly pulled me against him and I tried to steady myself. I looked at him. He has a daunting smirk on his face. I nervously swallowed and pulled away from him. His smirk faltered but I quickly turned around to get away from him. I n
Diego's POV I felt myself being dragged away as I slowly lose my consciousness. F*ck! Why am I so weak? I hate being weak! I clenched my fists as I felt anger bottling up inside me. My body suddenly moved on its own. Without me being able to know what's going on, the guards are suddenly gasping for air. "Argh--Ahhh--!" My fists collided with the guard's jaw and he stumbled on the ground. I stepped on his windpipe. I don't know why I suddenly went very violent but the power surging in my veins are unstoppable. After a few seconds, they all suddenly dropped to the ground and the atmosphere all went back to normal in an instant. I sta
Third Person's POV The events that occurred yesterday were a shock to Dennis. He found out that the woman, Helena, was able to escape from Ralph. Dennis was unable to react to this. His anger could not be measured. She had escaped! How the f*ck was she able to escape? She was also able to take the minerals they had embezzled. She must've had someone else take them or was she supposed to be a distraction? She's one tricky woman. In anger, he ordered his men to fetch him a slave girl. His hand etched to grab someone by the neck. Dennis heard the sound of faint footsteps and a body thudding as it fell on the dirty floor of the dungeon. He looked at the man laying on the ground right beside him. A sneer formed on
Third Person’s POV “How dare you laugh, you f*cking loser!” the guard shouted at Ralph. His eyes had that deranged glimmer in them. He punched Ralph once more. Ralph groaned at the pain. The arrogant guard furiously smirked at him, his eyes ablaze. Ralph had a moment to recover and when he did, he spit on the guards face. The guard glared down at him. “How dare you? You asked me for help, didn’t you? And you we’re the ones who should be ashamed of yourselves, you idiots we’re the ones who brought that man a witch. I can’t believe that you would blame this on me, you pathetic f*cks!” Ralph croaked out, his voice cracking. The guards turned their heads to look at the deceased girl who is laying on the cold and rough surface of the ground. “Help me—Arhgg--!” Dennis exclaimed as he reached for someone but the guards moved away from him. The guards suddenly turned to look at each other and the guards held their heads when the realization hi
Hendry’s POV Dennis just stared at me like he wanted to apologize to me but I don’t need him anymore. I don’t need someone who ruins my name to be my subordinate. Men like that can ruin an empire. Although I do detestable things, I hate having my dignity being trampled on. No one does this to me and gets away with it. No one. But then I still need him for something. He'll prove useful for my experiments. I need to make experiments and have breakthroughs with regards to every race, that includes vampires. This is the only thing that excites me this days, experimenting. That’s been my hobby ever since I was younger. That was our hobby, me and my first love’s. We would spend all night doing just that when we’re young. I was ambitious ever since I was young and I know that I always will be. That was all that kept me going. Her and my ambition. She was part of the future that I held on to. I shook my head and faced Nikolai. I told him to go and fol
Ralph’s POV I started to walk again until I reached the shop. When I saw it, I did not bother knocking and I just quickly went inside the shop. When I entered, I took some time to look around. The shop has not changed since then. It still looked the same as before. Enchanting and mysterious. Like it’s something that will transport you to another world. Like something out of a fairytale. Well, that’s how I used to think about this place ever since I was young and that is how I think about it until now. That old crook. No matter how much money I send her, she never had any plan on spending it to, at least, make the shop look more like a shop and not like a run down shack. Well, she’s just the type to do so. That’s what I always admired about her. She’s an amazing woman. But still, it always feel like home here. I like this place. I've always liked it ever since I was younger and that never changed. I heard the sound of bells chiming and
Rynari’s POV “So? What do you think is going to happen. You don't know what will happen, right?” I asked my mate, “It’s because you assume too much. You don't even know what happened! You just acted on your own intuition! Well, you should learn how to stop that cause I can barely move.” When we were done, I had the courage to speak to Endrée. How could he? He’s so selfish! He knows that we have to travel and yet he still ravaged me like there’s no tomorrow. “I’m sorry, I just got so worried about your safety. Do you have any idea, any idea at all his worried I was knowing it was only you—” he said but I cut him off. “And Diego—I was right! You are jealous!” I exclaimed as I glared at him, “You always keep this walls around you and you get jealous when I’m around other men yet you—” I added but he cut me off as well. “You have no rights in telling me how to feel it’s just the mate bond! You have a duty yet you’re here flirting around with men!”
