Chapter 6

Tears ran down my cheeks as I saw everyone's eyes on me, they looked at me spitefully. I could not bear the shame and then ran as fast as I could into the forest, I shed many tears as I sat behind a giant tree.

I became a laughingstock and heard so many insults, but Williams was always there for me, and we still played to our heart's content.

“You don't need to worry about being wolfless, the moon goddess might be leading him to you gradually,” Williams encouraged.

“And I'm sure the moon goddess will bless me with someone better,” I said.

“Cut! That's all for today, let's get something to eat,” Andre said snapping me out of my trance.

I could feel the baby in me was probably hungry because I was starving and I had not noticed because I was telling the story of my life.

We went back to the palace, and we were served food, which I ate hungrily.

“Your Majesty, there is something that you need to attend to,” a guard said.

“I'll be right back,” Andre muttered.

I stood up to look around the house and it was a great one. “An official is asking to see you,” a guard told me.

I got out of the palace and recognized the official, he smiled at me and I went to meet him.

“As Your Majesty's mate, there are some things that would need to be discussed with you at intervals, hope you don't mind?” He asked.

For an official to meet with me, I was willing to listen to what he had to say. If being helpful was going to be a way to be accepted by the Lycans, I would do so. We both went to a deep part of the forest and then entered a cave.

The cave was deep and dark, and we could only use our wolf eyes to see.

“So, what is it you wish to talk about with me?” I asked anxiously.

“What kind of ridiculous trust do you have in strangers?”

“What do you mean?” I asked, confused.

Then he charged at me and held my neck hard. This was not healthy for my baby, I tried hard to help myself, but I could not. Then someone jerked him off me and growled.

I fainted and didn't know who helped me, then when I woke up, I found myself in a room, the bedroom was nice. I looked around and stood up, I had healed from the pain and bone crunching and my baby was fine.

“Are you okay now?”

I looked at the side from which the voice came and saw Andre sitting with his legs crossed. 

“Yes, I am. What happened?” I asked him out of curiosity.

“That official was bent on eliminating you and thankfully, I got there in time and saved you,” he explained, looking stern.

“So, what becomes the fate of the official?"

“He's dead already. That's a lesson to anyone who tries to harm you,” he stood up and held my shoulders lightly.

I froze as his touch sent waves down my spine.

“So, I'm back now. You can continue your story,” he said, as he sat down, staring at me.

I sat down and looked at him, he was serious about listening to my story until the end. I cleared my throat, preparing to speak.

I was by the stream, staring into blank space when someone came to me. He was tall, handsome, cool, and had a good body build. I felt like we were going to have a connection with the way I felt toward myself.

“Feels like I've seen your face before,” he said, with a bright smile on his face.

“Yes, Probably for the coming of age ceremony,” I faced my eyes to the ground.

“Oh! I thought as much, you were the girl who couldn't shift and didn't have a mate.”

“Yes,” there was an expression of embarrassment on my face.

“Well, it's nothing to worry about. The moon goddess was keeping you for me,” he smiled.

I looked up at him in disbelief. Is he trying to say I have found a mate in him? I stood up and looked at him with keen eyes.

“You heard me right. I want you to be my mate, my Luna,” he smiled as he looked at me seductively.

He was the Alpha of the pack, I had never set my eyes on him until today, and I'm being asked to be his Luna. I felt so happy that my heart couldn't contain my happiness itself. When I was announced as his official mate, I was loved by all and, most especially, him.

He would do everything I asked of him, and he made me feel so special that everyone respected me. No one could dare lay a finger on me because they knew they would see the wrath of the Alpha.

I enjoyed a lot of privileges until I heard the news of my father's death. It struck me to the heart and I couldn't breathe well. I went for his burial, and they gave him a befitting one, as I was a princess of the pack.

Nathan had not appeared yet, so I leaned on Williams, my best friend, as I wanted to faint. The pain of losing my father was more than I could bear.

Unfortunately, Nathan arrived and saw me leaning on William's chest. He was jealous and became annoyed, so he attended the burial as if nothing happened.

But when I got home, he started maltreating me and misbehaving. I was overwhelmed by the reason, he would go out and come back late with girls and there was even a time he sent me out in the dark, and I was all alone, shivering.

“Recently, he discovered a secret that isn't my fault and that is why he was after me. He wanted to kill me, and that's how I met you. Thanks for saving me,” I gave him a big and sweet smile.

“What was that secret? Are you hiding something from me?” Andre asked with his eyebrows arched up.

I became scared but tried to maintain my heartbeat, so he won't create a great scene out of it. My saliva became hard to swallow, and I found it hard to talk, I didn't want him to find out about the pregnancy. Not yet!
