Sage’s POV

“Heal it!” Cyrus ordered as soon as he stepped into my room. Or would I rather say, my cage.

His eyes were dark, impatient and demanding obedience.

“Yes, Alpha.” I nodded.

I moved toward him without hesitation, even though my body screamed for rest. I gently took off the blood-soaked shirt, exposing his perfect physique that carried scars I couldn’t count.

My palms began to glow the moment I touched his skin, the familiar warmth spreading as the wound sealed beneath my hands. His breath steadied as the curse loosened its grip on him.

Mine weakened.

Healing always took something from me. Every time I closed a wound, something inside me drained—strength, breath, sometimes even hope. But I had learned not to complain.

I was his mate.

Or at least… fate said I was.

“Gently!” He roared.

“I’m sorry, your majesty.” I whispered, trying to be more careful this time.

Once upon a time, I thought healing made me special, like the moon had placed something rare inside my hands so I could protect my people and feel connected to a world that hardly ever looked my way. But with time, I started to understand that sometimes being useful didn’t mean being valued.

Cyrus stepped back the moment the bleeding stopped, already turning away.

No thank you or even a glance back.

“Cyrus?” I called, quietly.

He didn’t turn, just paused. “Can you please stay with me tonight?” I muttered. “My wolf is craving you so bad.”

“You mean your weak wolf?” He replied, disgust in his voice. “I’ll pass.”

That’s how it always ended, his needs met, and mine… neglected. The only ever time we were intimate, was when he was extremely drunk and it was full moon. His wolf needed me so bad, even he couldn’t resist.

As an Alpha, he should have been able to heal on his own, but because of the curse that was on him, he needed me to heal.

The door slammed behind him, causing me to flinch a little.

I had spent years waiting for the day he would finally look at me and see more than the healer he summoned when his demons clawed too loudly inside him. Waiting for him to say my name instead of barking commands.

He never did.

I was warned to stay in the shadows.

At first, I believed it was protection. But slowly, painfully, I realized the truth.

He wasn’t hiding me to keep me safe.

He was hiding me because I embarrassed him.

He never announced our bond. Never stood beside me before the pack. I existed only when he was wounded, cursed, or breaking.

And every time he called, I obeyed.

Because that was what mates were meant to do.

Or so I believed.

****

Later that evening, I stood on the balcony overlooking the pack grounds. I had been there for a while, trying to get as much fresh air as I could before returning to that rat hole of a room.

Below, I saw Cyrus car roll to a halt. As soon as his driver parked the car properly, he stepped out.

I actually had no idea that he even left the pack in the first place. He never told me anything about his movements and I learnt to never ask or complain.

He turned to the other door of the car, almost too quickly.

He wasn’t alone, my first instinct, and I wasn’t wrong.

My jaw dropped when they finally came in view, walking hand in hand.

The lady was the Perfect example of beautiful. She was slender yet curvy. Thick in all the right places. Her long tanned legs looked like they were made just for the red carpets.

She didn’t look elegant, she was elegance herself. And the way she walked with so much prestige.

Who is she? My wolf snarled in jealousy.

I didn’t want to overthink things cause she might just be anybody. My thoughts changed almost too quickly.

“The fuck!” I blurted out.

He pressed his lips against hers, and for a good couple of seconds, he didn’t pull back.

My wolf screamed to be let out. Screamed like it could stop what was happening right in front of us.

When they finally separated, he looked up.

Realisation hit me hard.

He knew I was there. Yet he did what he did.

The pain in my chest became even heavier.

I can endure being neglected for years, but I can’t endure this humiliation.

Without hesitation, I stomped towards the entrance of the packhouse, hoping to meet with them.

Walking to the Living room alone attracted a lot of stares from the maids. I was never sopposed to be out of my cage until my master requested for me. In fact, I’d sneaked out to go to the balcony.

As soon as I got to the last stairs, I could already see them. The lady held him like she would go missing the very moment she lets go of him.

His Alpha Aura was the first thing that hit me when I got downstairs, followed by his bitter toned voice.

“Who asked you to come here?” He barked as soon as I came into sight.

“Who is this woman?” I demanded.

I used to hate drama, but today I created it. And I cared less at the moment. The torturous relentless pain I felt in my chest made it almost too impossible to ignore. My wolf was in deep agony.

“Get back to your room before I lose it!” He said with a low growl, like he was warning me against the consequences of disobedience.

Speaking of losing it, something inside of me snapped. “I spent my years, my life… giving my all to you, and how do you repay me?”

“You’re so unbelievable.” I hissed.

The maids around acted like they were just carrying out their jobs, but I knew that was a big lie, they were listening. It became too obvious when I noticed one of the parlour maids cleaning one chair over and over again, just so she didn’t leave before the drama started.

He approached me with force and a kind of anger in his eyes I had never seen before.

I should have run, but somehow I couldn’t find myself moving.

His hand gripped my neck so hard and I was struggling to breathe. He didn’t even care that I was gasping for air, he just wanted to unleash his anger.

The bitch behind him stood like this was some kind of amusing show. She didn’t even do anything to plead my case. In fact, she looked proud of him.

I struggled, I kicked, I begged… All to no avail.

His hands wrapped tighter around my throat as he pulled me closer to himself. “You exist to heal me. Nothing more.”

  • The Lycan King's Pregnant Healer    When The Past Comes Calling

Sage’s POV The fact that I couldn’t answer that question got me twisting and turning on the bed for hours throughout the night. I wanted freedom, but why did I suddenly feel restrained. It was like something inside of me didn’t want me to leave. I just couldn’t explain it no matter how hard I tried.I felt a sharp pain somewhere in my lower back and then I heard his voice. “Sage!”“Fucking answer me already!” His pained cry filled my mind. What the heck? Cyrus? The mind-link wouldn’t have gotten to me with that much distance between Shadow Pack and the Lycan Kingdom. That only means one thing. “Meet me close to the boarders of the pack. This pain is killing!” He yelled like he still had control over me. The pain intensified at my back too, sharp and intense. A reminder that the bond between us had not yet been broken because he refused to accept my rejection. “I don’t owe you anything!” I insisted. He laughed, a pained filled laugh mixed with exhaustion. “You think moving in

  • The Lycan King's Pregnant Healer    The Truth Beneath The Silk

Sage’s POVA Soft knock was placed on the door. “Ma’am,” a maid said from behind the door. “Your breakfast.”I opened my eyes, realising that it was morning already. “Arghhh!” I groaned into my pillow, not ready to stand up yet. I sat up slowly, still trying to get used to waking up in this comfy room. I barely even slept last night, not after King Dominic casually kissed me on the lips. I could still feel the burning sensation on my lips like it had just happened moments ago. I bit my lips gently as I remembered that moment. “My lady!” The voice of the maid sounded in my head again.I set my leg down from the bed quickly, shaking my head like it could shake away that moment. I was already heading towards the washroom to get prepared for breakfast.“I’ll be down in a bit.” I replied. “No ma’am, I have your breakfast here with me. I frowned. I totally didn’t expect that. I went ahead to open the door, though still confused. They wheeled in a table. Not a tray. A whole table w

  • The Lycan King's Pregnant Healer    A Seat At The King's Table

Sage’s POVDinner felt like a trial I never signed up for.The hall was long. A little too long. A table stretched through the middle. By the time we got there, people were already seated. There were two men and three women. Young and Elderly in both genders. One of the elderly women being the one from earlier. I slowed.Dominic didn’t.He walked ahead like this was nothing. Like he hadn’t just burned my past and dressed me in silk like I belonged here. His hand brushed my lower back once. Not in a way to guide, but in a way that meant Claim. I stiffened. We reached the table.“You’re having dinner with us today?” The Elderly woman said. Dominic didn’t respond, he just found his seat. I stayed standing. Unsure where to sit. Unsure if I should even breathe.Dominic pulled out a chair. The one beside his.“Sit,” he said.I did.My stomach twisted. The elderly woman with Silver hair leaned forward first. Her eyes ran over me like I was dirt on a royal table.“So,” she said, smilin

  • The Lycan King's Pregnant Healer    Stripped Off The Past

Sage’s POV My question remained heavy in the air, raw and unfiltered. My desperation to have my life in my control tugged at the edge of my mind. Instead of getting a reply, he let out a light chuckle and turned back to the road ahead. Heat rose within me, both heat from anger and from being in the same car as the Lycan King. He said nothing. Absolutely nothing and his silence sounded louder than any growl Cyrus could let out. It almost felt like he knew something I didn’t. I felt somewhat embarrassed by his silence. Scared that I’ll embarrass myself further, I stayed quiet. Stealing glances at him from time to time as he buried his head in his phone. His side view alone was enough to make any woman breathless. My eyes travelled to his throat, landing on his Adam apple. It moved slightly, but my eyes caught the movement. When it was like his head was about to come up, I turned away, feigning like I was looking out the window the whole time. “You’re free to stare properly.” H

  • The Lycan King's Pregnant Healer    When The King Claimed What Was Broken

Sage’s POV “Who made this?”Cyrus’s mother’s voice cut sharply through the dining hall.No one answered. They didn’t need to.Every maid’s eyes turned toward me.My fingers tightened around the wooden spoon in my hand as my heart sank. I stared at the plate in front of her, confusion swirling—until she tilted it slightly. The meat was darker than usual.Barely overcooked. Something that should have been ignored.“You ruined my dinner?” she snapped, rising from her seat and storming toward me.“I—I can fix it,” I whispered. “Luna, please, it was just—”Pain exploded across my arm before I could finish. She slammed the plate into me, hot sauce splattering over my skin. I cried out, stumbling back as the burn spread instantly.“This is what you serve an Alpha’s family?” she screamed. “This filth?”“It was a mistake,” I managed, my voice shaking but she didn’t listen. Her palm struck my face next. My head snapped to the side, stars bursting behind my eyes.“Please!” my mother cried from

  • The Lycan King's Pregnant Healer    The King Who Came For Me

Dominic’s POVI tried so hard to resist the pull, but it was almost impossible. I had to find answers. Who is she? And why does the bond with her feel stronger than anything I’ve ever felt?I heard a knock on the door, bringing me out of my thoughts. I knew who it was even before he knocked. “Come!” Troy, my informant paused in front of my table. “Good day, your majesty.” He said with a bow.“Update?” I demanded, rolling my pen impatiently. Troy placed the file on my desk with confidence. I stopped rolling the pen and took the file. “She’s a member of Shadow Pack. The mysterious mate to Alpha Cyrus.” Troy stated as I confirmed his word from the file. I flipped the page. “I also found out that she’s a healer wolf and that’s the main reason Alpha Cyrus is keeping her.”My jaw tightened. “Ask the guards to ready my car.” I said blankly. He didn’t ask any questions, just went ahead to carry out my order. I arrived at Shadow Pack unannounced. I didn’t come for smiles and pleas
