Sage’s POV

“Cyrus?”

My skin itched at the sound of his name.

“What the heck do you want from me?”

He laughed really loud. That kind of mocking laugh that said ‘I told you’.

Tears welled up in my eyes.

I knew he wasn’t right, but everything feels like he is. And for the fact that I honestly had no where to go. The money King Dominic handed me on the first day we met, it was back in the palace and I doubt if they’ll let me come out if I ever go in there.

My options were not many at all.
