WILLOW

Eleven Years Later

My arms feel like lead and there is sweat covering every inch of my body.

“Again,” my father yells loudly from across the room.

“But Daddy, I’m tired,” I whine and stomp my foot a little.

“Hit the bullseye and I will let you be done.” He smirks at me.

I can’t help but groan in frustration. We have been at this for hours and every day it is the same thing. “Hit the bullseye and I will let you be done.” Those words echo in my brain over and over again as I look at the target that is on the wall, across the room from me.

“Today is the day,” I mumble to myself as I roll my shoulders and stretch my neck from side to side.

Before I am fully ready I hear the whistle blow and I shoot my father a deathly glare. Two members of the Royal Guard, in their lycan form, come barreling towards me. Taking in a sharp breath, I run towards the first lycan. Kicking him in the stomach I use his course fur to claw my way up his body. His sharp claws scrap again
