Chapter 10: Herbs and Medicine

Athena’s POV

Days have gone since I began living in the pack, and each day has passed with monotony; I sighed and stood up from my bed when I heard a knock on the door; I walked to the door, and there stood Maya in the doorway.

“Maya,” I said with a smile, and she laughed.

“Good morning, and how was your night?” She requested, and I moved out of the way, so she could enter the room.

“It was fantastic; how was yours?” I inquired, and she removed the bedsheet from the mattress, folding it in the basket she had brought with her, and chose to spread a new one.

“It was fine as usual,” she said, spreading a new bedsheet.

“You know I can do these little things on my own,” I remarked, and Maya laughed.

“It is my responsibility to look after your affairs,” Maya responded, and I sighed.

“I am tired and bored all the time. I need to do something,” I replied, and Maya grumbled.

“You should meet with Alpha Andrew; he'll definitely figure out something you can do,” Maya said, and I nodded.
