Chapter 12

Prescott’s pov

I stood in front of the window, my back on Ulrica who sat on my bed with her leg crossed. She had a cup of popcorn in her hands, and she noisily munched on her popcorn, interrupting my thoughts.

I signed and propped my elbow on the window. Gazing out of the window to see a bunch of people scurrying around the compound to get things done before the coronation would start.

I could hear voices, coming from the room opposite mine. The room that has been empty for years will be occupied today, by the nation's Queen.

The thought of having a woman closer to me, for the rest of my life, gave me a feeling of uncertainty.

The wall clock kept tickling, reminding me that I would officially become a family man before the end of the day.

“So, you wouldn't tell me who your wife is, would you?” Ulrica stopped munching on her popcorn, she dropped the cup on the nightstand table which made an annoying sound.

“I have nothing to say to you.” I groaned, I checked my wristwatch and a light
