With every step, I felt like my legs were being held down with lead. It did not feel like I was going to my chambers, it felt like I was going straight to hell. Maybe that was where I belonged after all that I had caused. After all that, I put Lucianne through. I had to do this for her sake. And for the sake of all the packs as a whole.

I arrived to the front of my door and took in a breath before I reached for the knob and turned it. I stepped in and eyed the spot on the stone wall that harboured the bastard.

I made my way to the fair place and picked up the fire poker and opened up the secret chamber with a push. It groaned open and this time, when the place that made my stomach turn revealed itself, Jameson was awake. He was leisurely stuffing his mouth with red grapes.
