PART ONE: THE MISSION AND THE UNKNOWN

~~~
ANNATORIA
“Fresh humans for our pleasure.” Some wicked chuckles mocked the fear in the air. “Could this night get any better?”
I deafened my ears to the rest of that statement as my nose wrinkled at the scent of the approaching rain.
Then, I smirked. Working in the rain is the best. It brightens my focus.
So, as I slacked the confidence in my shoulders, I silently prayed for the rain to arrive. I need it to survive the issues lying ahead.
As planned, I am currently blindfolded in a rickety bus. But the nature of my captors and the main purpose of my mission are the problems.
“Line them up!” The vehicle halted in response to that command, and without delays, the heftiness of the captors tussled the bus.
“Get out! Get out, you fucking cunts!”
 Their vile words were as terrible as their rough hands. I confirmed that when one of them pushed me out, as if I had the eyes to see the path ahead.
Honestly, it's not a big deal.
Moving blindfolded is easy, but the other captives are simple women who, unfortunately, fell into the trap of the vicious werewolves who have been hunting humans for many years.
 I landed on my feet and allowed the beastly hand that was squeezing my arm to drag me.
Seconds later, I was positioned between two women who were profusely begging for their lives with hot tears.
Sometimes, I wonder how it would feel to be in a position where I cannot tackle my opponent.
I hope I never find out. I love winning. And I want to keep winning.
Suddenly, my blindfold was yanked off. After a few eye twitches, I glanced at the caramel beauty of my hands.
Then, I clasped them behind me, and the view ahead beckoned to me.
The moon, in its far place, could not save this place from its eeriness. And worse, every single element- the thick forest, the rocky ground, the chilly air, the darkened clouds, the wolf beasts and the enormous, forlorn-looking castle in the middle of everything- all worked together to scare an ordinary human or any unsuspecting prey.
 Even I felt a little chill run down my spine, and uneasiness knotted my stomach.
Undoubtedly, with the distinct wickedness in the air, this is the werewolf realm.
After a deep swallow, I glanced at the castle again. That is the abode of the Lycan King of the werewolves…. The abode of my target.
“What is this bitch looking at?” One of the hefty wolves interestingly transformed into his human form and landed a hot slap on my cheek. Before my eyes could ignite anger, he hollered, “Keep your fucking dirty eyes glued to the ground!”
I itched to return the hit, but that would not work in my favour, so I lowered my head, exhaled a few times and found calm.
“Here, you are a fucking toy,” another resounding voice joined the bullying. “The Lycan owns your soul!” The snarling beast chunked saliva on the back of my neck. “Know your fucking place! Is that clear, you fucking dirty humans?!”
My calmness broke when the nauseating liquid started slipping down my back. I had to curl my hands to contain my thoughts of throwing punches at that fool who spat on me.
Oh. I haven’t introduced myself, have I?
I am Secret Agent Annatoria. Twenty-seven years old. One of the top spies in W.O.O.T., a crime-fighting agency.
And right now, I am on a mission to gather intel on the leader of these wolves. I have to figure out a way to eradicate the leader and capture these werewolves who have found pleasure in kidnapping humans as slaves for their master.
“You!” A hand smacked my bum. And the culprit walked to my front with a prideful gait.
Great, now both my face and bum are stinging.
I lifted my head and hid the angry blink in my eyes.
 “Come with me,” he said, the hatred in his eyes blazing.
I don't have a good feeling about this.
“Uhm…” I blinked with fake shyness. And quietly asked, “Why?”
“Is this dirt asking questions?” His black eyes glinted, his lips tightening as he closed the gap between us and tortured me with the stench from his sweaty armpits.
Ugh! Have they never heard of taking a bath in this place?
“Human.” He pressed his forehead to mine, like he was challenging me to a fight. “Are your ears blocked?”
Ugh, stinky ass breath.
“You need to know your place,” he continued. “Is that too hard for you? Huh?” With a vicious grip, he jerked my head. “Answer me,” he raged, “you fucking spy bitch.”
Spy bitch?
I heard that wrong… Right?
“Ha!” He curtly laughed and stepped back. “The spy bitch is surprised.”
True.
My eyes could not hide my shock.
With a frown, my mind started to wander, wondering how the beasts found out about my identity. Was my mission compromised from the start?
 “Did you think you could walk into our den without getting caught?” he continued to taunt me while my thoughts raced. “This is the problem with you stupid humans. You always think you are too smart. Look at you now. About to be devoured by our master.” He sharply gripped my slim jawline. “Our great Lycan will handle you. He will make you watch as he grinds every bone inside you into powder.”
How would that even work?
Oh God. Focus Annatoria. Focus. This is not going according to plan. This is not-
The he-wolf’s grip left me, and he barked orders to two wolves who effortlessly lifted me off the ground and pulled me towards the mighty reddish brown gate leading to the castle.
I mean, I am glad I don’t get to walk on the dangerous stones on the ground, but I have to break free and escape.
However…
Call me insane, but I never abandon any mission. I don't think I want to run away from this one either.
 It doesn't matter if I fail.
So, I closed my eyes and allowed the wolves to take me to the Lycan, the main deal of my operation.
    ANNATORIAUpon waking up, my soul struggled so much that I spent many minutes sobbing into the furry blanket wrapping me. And within those silent cries, I gradually settled into the truth of my reality. Around me was slight warmth, but the occasional chills that jolted me just as my tears did made me aware that I was in the Lycan’s castle- the very Lycan that played me for weeks. Should I even blame that beast for these crazy turn of events?I blame myself for trusting Director Hayes. Under the guise of a high-rated mission, he pushed me into the arms of a snarly werewolf. He actively gaslit me each time I reported my issues with unusual memories. That bastard said he did it for W.O.O.T. and our country… I call bullshit. I bet it was fun for him. I wished to drill more answers out of that bastard Hayes, but the Lycan ruined the order of my thoughts. Within my fear and messy mind, shit turned worse when that Lycan’s touch ignited a desirous appetite in me and when he said we were ‘m
    PART TWO: THE KNOWN AND THE SACREDTHE LYCAN KINGFor the first time in two thousand years, fire burned in the dark corridors of Nythla Castle. Strangely, my soul welcomed the warmth it brought.“Seeing fire in this place…” Beta Seraphina projected my inner thoughts. “It’s quite odd,” she added, her loud steps walking with mine after she accompanied me to check on Annatoria, who was deeply asleep in her cosy cage. She must be cursing me in her sleep. I can’t wait to delight in her angry words. Having some uproar in this quiet, boring castle will not be terrible. “Keep the fire burning,” I ordered, my paces having more vigour than usual, my lips finding a natural smirk too. “She needs it.” My quiet conversation with Annatoria in that restaurant with the fireplace danced in my mind. “She likes it.”“Watching captured humans freeze to death is a game to you,” Seraphina argued. “Why bother keeping her warm?”Seraphina’s relentless pursuit to kill and hunt is the reason I selected her t
  • The Lycan's Hunt   FORTY THREE- Doomed
    ANNATORIAWith a lengthy groan, I slid out of my deep slumber, my head banging with anguish because of that…My eyes narrowed, and my head whipped across the room. That was another nightmare, wasn’t it?Of course it was. God, I was so scared for nothing. That shit felt real though. I gripped my chest and assured my heart that it had no reason to be fearful. There was no way Darius would be that Lycan King. That was nonsensical theatrics; I’m sure the Lycan is responsible for it.Classic one, Lycan King; using the man I like to taunt my dreams. What do I do now, though? I wondered, my hazy eyes blinking harder to erase sleep from my soul. Now that it’s clear that my issues are supernatural-related, I need to figure out a way to break free. Perhaps this is the point where I go on a quest like a character in a fantasy novel. That would certainly be fun. But… Where is this place?I killed my thoughts and scanned the space again. Unlike the fine walls of my room, this place was dim,
  • The Lycan's Hunt   FORTY TWO- Questions
    ANNATORIAUnlike my normal self, I found it hard to be snarky and loud. And in that unusual silence of mine, I got up and walked out of his office, the unsettling in my heart increasing as it occurred to me that the Lycan had probably dug his claws deep into every part of my life more than I thought.He did say he would break me. That my body and soul would belong to him. Is this his way of proving it? To make me kneel at his feet? Ha ha ha.I stopped in front of a mirror and saw the maniacal laughter creasing the corners of my face. As my hands dragged my face, it became clear.This is who I am now. Agent Annatoria- the motherfucking top spy- reduced to a toy for the Lycan of the werewolves.I laughed again, this time louder.“This is so fucked up,” I muttered within my sorrowful laughter, my eyes clouding with tears because I just couldn’t make a shred of sense of anything. Is that Lycan even fucking real? Is TI real? Is Darius real? What the heck is true at this point?!I don’t
  • The Lycan's Hunt   FORTY ONE-  Answers
    ANNATORIA“What?” Darius asked haggardly, his thrusts increasing and hitting my pleasure spot.“N-Nothing,” I replied, my mouth hanging open in shock as the memories kept pouring in, taking me back to the start of The Lycan Mission, making me feel the mix of emotions I suffered when I encountered the Lycan of the werewolves. I wasn’t losing my mind at all…All of those strange things, all of them are linked to that Lycan. The voices, the cold, the random flash of being kidnapped, the nightmares… Of course… How the heck could I have forgotten everything?“Ahh,” Darius groaned harder as he pumped his release into me. His passionate touch caressing my back, he softly said, “Annatoria?” “Huh?” My bewildered gaze flickered to him. “What?”“You’re acting a bit… strange.”“Darius…” My climax was gone; ripped away by the rush of memories in my head. I can’t remain here when the demand for answers keeps clawing at me. “Annatoria?” He searched my face, worry knitting his brows.I slid my hip
  • The Lycan's Hunt   FORTY- Bewitched
    ANNATORIA“How is that your business?” I dared to ask him. “Why are you interested in who I call?”“Because you act shady,” he replied, and I frowned because it wasn’t clear what that meant.Was he saying that because he knew I was at the factory yesterday? Or because he just wanted to?“You act the same,” I returned. “But do you see me poking my nose in your business?”“Right.” With a blink, the sinisterness in his eyes reduced, and he took two paces backwards. “I always forget that you’re a rude thing.”“If you are done,” my feet shifted, ready to leave, “I’d like to return to the event.”“Not so fast.” He closed the distance again. This time, annoyingly, he roughly pinned my hands above my head, forcing me to remain still. “What else do you want?” I snapped, my hands failing to jerk out of his grasp. “I would advise you to stay calm,” he huskily replied, his hungry eyes roaming every part of me, like I was a piece of cloth about to be priced in a local market. “I know your secret
