ВойтиChapter Six.
Aurelia’s POV. “Y-You… You think you can threaten me?” Lyra growled, her eyes shifting from the regular dark brown to her wolf’s fiery grey ones. For a second, I was sure she was going to lunge at me, grab a fistful of my hair like she used to when we were kids but to my surprise, she didn’t. Instead, she spun on her heels so fast her hair whipped through the air, “You’ll regret that.” She hissed over her shoulder and stormed out, slamming the door so hard the wall shook. The relief that washed over me immediately the door shut behind her, calmed my racing heart. The courage I had displayed earlier when I threatened Lyra suddenly disappeared and I almost crumbled to the floor when the door burst open again. Lyra was back, but she wasn’t alone. A terrifying looking guard with a deep scar running down his face stood behind her, blocking the hallway. My blood turned to ice as I stumbled backwards, my heart pounding so hard against my ribs that I could hear the sound in my ears. “W-What are you doing?” I stammered, my entire body trembled but I kept my eyes glued to her and the guard. Lyra didn’t answer. She just smiled and nodded at the guard. He moved surprisingly fast for a man of his size. Before I could process what was happening, he was in front of me and his large hands came down heavily on me. He knocked me down to the floor. “Let me go!” I screamed on top of my lungs, struggling and kicking against him but it was of no use. Lyra knelt in front of me, her smile had twisted into something sinister and creepy that was far more terrifying than anything else as she waved a small, sharp silver blade dangerously in front of her. “You have a big mouth for someone in your position,” she said, her voice eerily calm as she grabbed a handful of my hair, yanking my head back forcefully before pressing the sharp edge of the blade against my neck. A bloodcurdling scream tore past my lips and the sound of my own flesh burning against the silver blade filled my ears. My eyes were wide open in horror and it didn’t matter how much I was thrashing around on the ground, the guard held me down. “Do you know what Liam loved most about you?” She asked, her eyes shone with a maniacal glint, “it was your hair,” she added, running the blade from my neck into my hair. Hot tears stung the back of my eyes as images of how her father had killed my own father with a silver blade filled my head. I could still smell their burning flesh… I could still hear Mom’s scream. “Even my father loved it, he said it made you look like a real Alpha’s daughter,” she mused, hatred dripping from each word. “No… Ly—“ Before the words could make it past my lips, she pressed the blade against my hair and with one smooth thrust of the knife, she cut off my hair. A gasp slipped past my lips as Lyra threw a thick bundle of my hair on the floor in front of my eyes. A broken whimper escaped my lips as she leaned down to press her lips against my ears, “The next time you forget your place in this house and speak to me like that again, it won’t be your hair I will cut off. Do you understand?” She shook my head roughly but I couldn’t speak. I wanted to but couldn’t speak, all I could do was stare wide-eyed at the bundle on the floor. Shoving me aside angrily, she walked out with the guard behind her. I don’t know how long I laid there, curled on the floor beside the chunk of what used to be my hair. I cried until my throat was raw and my eyes were swallow. Until there was nothing left inside of me to cry. My parents were gone, Liam was gone and even though it shouldn’t hurt the way it did, I felt my chest tighten painfully at the thought of what Lyra had taken from me. A few hours passed before the door opened again and someone walked in; a young maid who preferred to look at everything else but me. “I’ll run you a bath.” She mumbled before disappearing into the bathroom. I just sat there, numb as I listened to the sound of the running water. Suddenly, an idea hit me and my head snapped up. My heart began to beat rapidly again as I glanced at the bathroom before my eyes slowly drifted back to the door. The maid didn’t lock the door… I didn’t think, I just moved. I slipped out the door and without a single plan or any idea where I was headed, I broke into a wild run. I ran as fast as my legs could carry me, my breath coming in ragged gaps with each passing second but just as I turned a corner, my body slammed into something hard. I lost my balance but strong arms suddenly grabbed my arm, stopping me from falling to the ground. I glanced up and Torin’s cold, amused eyes peered down into mine with a wicked grin on his lips. “Well, well,” he murmured, his grin stretching into something else, “what do we have here?” “Going somewhere?” A tremor shot through me as Kaelen’s voice came from behind me, startling me. I flinched as his hands landed on my waist, trapping me between them. “Y-You can’t keep me here! Let me go!” My voice shook but I tried to stand my ground against their towering, intimidating presence. “Go where?” Torin taunted, his grip on my arm tightening as his eyes shone with mischief, “you belong to us now and that means there’s nowhere in the world that you could possibly run to that we won’t find you.” With one strong pull, he yanked me closer to him and the moment his muscular body pressed against mine, I felt a weird sensation stir inside of me. As he spoke, his gaze dropped from my eyes to my hair and he went completely still. His eyes locked on my hair. The amusement vanished from his face, replaced by a murderous glare. With another swift move, he grabbed a fistful of the chopped strands of my hair and yanked me forward, crushing me against his chest and he immediately buried his face in my neck, inhaling deeply. My entire body stiffened against his. He was so close to me… too close and the worst part was, Kaelen was right behind me. I could feel his body also pressing against mine. I swallowed hard, determined to stay levelheaded and in control. A low sound rumbled out of Torin, “Oh,” he breathed against my skin, his lips sent a tingle through my body as they grazed against my skin, “so Rylan started the fun without us?” He pulled back just enough to look at me, his eyes burning with something I had never seen before, “Did you enjoy it?” Kaelen’s insanely sultry voice whispered into my ears from behind me and my body jolted in response. I tried to move but his hand had snaked around my waist and was holding me in place. I was completely at their mercy. “Did you enjoy your foster brother touching you?” Torin added and my brows furrowed. What on earth were they talking about? “I don’t know what you’re talking about! Let me go!” I yelled, trying to shove him away. But Torin wasn’t listening, none of them were. His gaze was locked on me as he leaned in. His lips hovering near my shoulder. I squeezed my eyes shut, unsure of what to expect. My eyes flew open when I felt the wet, hot stroke of his tongue against my skin, sliding from my collarbone up to my neck. A jolt of pure, shocking amount of unwanted pleasure shot through me, making my knees wobble as I crumbled back into Kaelen’s large frame behind me. My lips parted slightly as Torin eyes found mine, “Fuckkkk,” his voice was low, rough and intoxicating, “for a Drakenheart… you taste so damn good.”Chapter Twelve.Aurelia’s POV.“It’s a rare kind of silver, forged in the old ways and there are very few of it left in the world.”“The whole blade’s been dipped in wolf’s-bane. One scratch is a death sentence.”“Even for a Lycan.”Sheila’s words echoed in my head over and over again, a few minutes after she had quietly slipped out of my room.I slid my hand under my pillow, just to be sure this wasn’t a dream and when my hand wrapped around the dagger, I sighed in relief. It was heavier than I expected. The hilt was plain, dark wood, but the blade… even in the dim light, seemed to stand out. It wasn’t bright and shiny, it was a dull grey and it had a deadly looking appeal to it.My palm grew slick with sweat. This was it. My one chance to finally make them pay.I didn’t trust Sheila, neither did I trust her promise to help me escape afterwards, I just needed one clean strike.I would never be able to get out alive after killing one of them but I didn’t care, if I could take one of t
Chapter Eleven.Aurelia’s POV.“Fight it all you want. You can’t resist them.”An unfamiliar yet familiar voice echoed in my head. Ever since I felt my wolf stir and heard the word, mate, from her that day in the pack house, I started hearing her faint voice in my head.“…you spread your legs for them after what we did to your family.”“…your dead mate for my brothers.”Rylan’s harsh words tore through my mind as I pressed my palm against my mouth to stifle my sobs, my body trembling against the cold tiles of the bathroom.I wrapped my arms around my body, trying to shield whatever was left of me after Rylan stormed out.He was right about me. I had kissed Kaelen back. I allowed Torin’s touch to soothe me. I let myself feel that thrill race through me when they fucked me, a feeling that had nothing to do with hate. And that truth made my stomach twist in a way that made me want to throw up.I rose sharply to my feet, like someone possessed, I turned on the shower as hot as it would g

Chapter Nine.Rylan’s POV.Xan’s horrifying howl tore through my skull coupled with the deafening screech of the metal glass door as he shoved it aside so hard it cracked when it made contact with the edge.Aurelia’s wet hair swept to the side with a wet sound as she spun around to face me, she let out a loud scream, scrambling back against the cold tiles. Her hands fumbled around, trying to cover her nakedness, her hands shaking as she pressed them against her skin but I ignored it, I ignored everything except for the fire burning in my blood. All I could hear was the roaring sound in my ears as I stepped into the shower. The water instantly soaked my clothes but I didn’t even feel it.I grabbed her by the back of her neck, my finger digging into her wet skin and I yanked her against me. Chapter Eight.Rylan’s POV.“Do I need to remind you, Rylan?” Kade hissed, his words cut through the quiet room, his knuckles turning white due to how tightly he was gripping onto the edge of his desk,”what my brother and his witch did to you and your brothers? What he did… to your clan?” He added, his muscles straining. He didn’t need to remind me, those memories had never left me, they haunted me every single day and night. The scent of blood and smoke. The sound of the silver-tipped whip cutting through the air. The feel of my brother’s trembling shoulders under my hands as we were forced to hold each other down for Zane’s whip.I could feel the stretch of raised skin on every scar on my back tighten as the memories flooded my mind again.I gritted my jaw so hard a sharp pain shot up into my temple.“I remember.” I murmured, biting down on my tongue to stop myself from saying more than I should.“Do you?” He snapped, lifting his head sharply to pin me with a hard glare, “because it

Chapter Seven.Aurelia’s POV.My skin burned… the exact spot where Torin’s tongue had touched tingled in a way that made me ache for him to do it again. What was wrong with me?! I need to get away from them. Before I could react, a low snarl rumbled out of Kaelen as his strong hand wrapped around my neck and turned my face to his, claiming my lips in the most possessive yet passionate kiss that sucked the air right out of my lungs. I didn’t get a chance to recover before Torin, whose hands were still planted on my hips, found the sensitive part of my neck with his lips. No! My entire body lit up in a way I never knew was possible. My core throbed with need I had never experienced, not even with Liam. A moan accidentally tore past my lips when Torin’s teeth scraped lightly against my collarbone, branding himself into my skin while my body shuddered violently and my knees buckled. “S-Stop.” I stuttered, my voice
