Lyall ran nonstop through the forest. Every day, he would train alone in the forest or in a room provided by his uncle. Several times, Zaiden tried to train with him, but Lyall always avoided him. After that night's incident, Lyall chose to avoid him and refused to talk to anyone. All he did was train alone and alone.

Lyall stopped running to rest for a moment and catch his breath. Although he was new to the area, he's already starting to get to know its ins and outs. He always walked through every forest surrounding Fortres Hill. Other werewolves? Sure, he'd run into them. But some already knew who Lyall was.

Lyall was prepared to run again, until he heard a scream. It was a woman's scream. It was only once, but it was clear and loud. Lyall looked around. There was no one there. Lyall strained his werewolf ears. It was quiet, but he heard movement not far from where he stood. He also smelled the woman. A normal human. Lyall followed the scent. Soon, he saw a girl who looked about his age sitting down, looking at a wound on her hand. The girl stood back up, picking up some fallen food from the ground, while a pack of wild wolves approached not far from her. Lyall was at a loss for what to do. He would be spotted by the wolves if he moved, but the girl was in danger. He looked back and forth between the girl and the wolves, his mind racing to find a way to save her without becoming a meal.

Lyall suddenly moved toward the girl, startling her, who sat down. He picked up a piece of meat that had fallen to the ground and threw it at the wolves. He immediately grabbed her hand and ran away from the pack. The girl was completely shocked by his sudden movement.

"W-What's going on?" she asked, still running.

"Just follow me if you don't want to die."

"D-die?" The girl became even more shocked and confused.

Lyall ran through the forest, and of course the wolves followed. But she wasn't as fast as he. She fell to the ground, her foot caught on a tree root. The girl winced in pain.

“Come on, stand up!” Lyall pleaded. The girl tried to stand, but her leg wouldn't budge. It looked like she had sprained it. Lyall panicked and tried to carry her until he heard the wolves growl. The pack was right beside her. She smiled.

“This time—”

Suddenly, a wolf leaped high. Not at the girl, but at Lyall. The wolves attacked Lyall in a pack. At first, Lyall was overwhelmed by the attack of several wolves, but he managed to overcome them. He defeated them all.

“No! Stop it!” the girl screamed. But Lyall was still fighting the wolves. Several wolves fell and lay limp.

“Stop it!!” the girl screamed again. Lyall ignored her. The girl struggled to her feet and grabbed a long, large tree branch nearby. She stumbled over and suddenly hit Lyall. Lyall was shocked.

“Hey! Stop it!”

The girl continued to hit Lyall with her eyes closed.

“Stop it!!” he yelled.

The girl ignored Lyall’s pleas and continued hitting him furiously. Lyall caught the stick with his left hand and then caught the girl’s hand with his right, staring intently into her hazel eyes.

"I said, Stop!!" Lyall said firmly, his voice low and firm. The girl froze, staring into his eyes. She was quite surprised. She was sure his eyes were red. But only for a second. His eyes immediately returned to normal. Lyall realized this. He quickly removed his hand from the girl and stepped back. Soon, several injured wolves stood with their backs to the girl and growled at Lyall.

"Wait, they..."

The wild wolves had been protecting the girl. They hadn't intended to attack her!

"Wh-who are you?!" the girl screamed. She was still holding the stick and was looking at Lyall. Lyall didn't answer. He just stood there warily, staring at the wolves and the girl in turn.

"She's clearly a human. Not a werewolf, a witch, a vampire, or anything like that. But why are these wild wolves so protective of her?" Lyall kept wondering.

"Hey!! Are you deaf? Who are you and what do you want?!"

"I want to save you!" Lyall finally said.

The girl frowned. “From?”

Lyall didn’t answer. He just stared at the wolves.

“They won’t hurt me,” she replied quickly, realizing who he was referring to.

“You don’t know that.”

“Yes, I know. And do I look like I’m asking for help?!” the girl shrieked.

“Of course!” Lyall’s voice was no less loud. “You were screaming! And when I found you, the wolves were approaching you. Ready to attack you!” Lyall tried to explain.

“Of course they were approaching me, you idiot! I was feeding them and the food fell from my hand because I tripped and—wait, why am I explaining all of this? The point is. You weird, suspicious idiots!”

“I—what? I was trying to save you, and what did you call me?!”

“Weird, suspicious idiots!” the girl repeated. “Now leave or I’ll report you to the police!” she threatened.

“Wait, what are you going to do?!” Lyall couldn’t believe what she was saying. She was completely insane!

“Go!”

Lyall let out a harsh breath. “Fine!” Lyall turned and walked away. “If anything happens to her, don’t expect me to help you.” Lyall muttered in annoyance. He stopped and turned around, looking at the girl. But Lyall was shocked. The girl was lying on the ground surrounded by wolves. Lyall wanted to help her, but in the next second, he decided against it. “No! I’m not going to help that weird girl!” Lyall turned back and walked away. But after only a few steps, he stopped again and sighed. He was annoyed with himself for still caring about the girl who beat him. Lyall turned and walked quickly to the unconscious girl. Several wolves began to approach and touch her.

“Stop!” Lyall’s command was met with growls from the wolves. Lyall closed his eyes and then reopened them. His pupils had turned deep red. The wolves slowly backed away from Lyall. Lyall crouched down and stared at the unconscious girl in front of him.

“Arrgghh, how stupid!” Lyall ruffled his hair. "Why didn't I just use my wolf eyes so I wouldn't have gotten involved with this... Weird girl?!"

Lyall snorted in annoyance and immediately picked the girl up, lamenting his stupidity.

“She’s fine. Aside from a few scrapes and a sprained ankle, she’s fine. She probably fainted from exhaustion. She just needs some rest.”

Lyall breathed a sigh of relief. He immediately took the girl to a local hospital. He knew a doctor there. Doctor Erness. Doctor Erness had helped him heal all his injuries when he first arrived in town. Doctor Erness was also a werewolf. A member of his uncle’s pack. Luckily, Doctor Erness was the doctor on duty at the time.

“What’s going on, Ly? Why did you bring this girl in when she’s unconscious?” Doctor Erness asked.

“I met her in the woods.”

“Is that all?” Doctor Erness frowned.

“Is that all.”

“Are you guys friends?”

“Friends? Of course not! Eww! Never!”

Doctor Erness laughed. “Judging by your overreaction, something must have happened.”

“I don’t—ughh!” Lyall snorted in annoyance. He didn’t feel like explaining anything. Dr. Erness chuckled again and patted Lyall's arm.

"Okay, okay... I won't ask again." Dr. Erness chuckled amusedly.

"I don't know why I feel like I'm being teased," Lyall muttered softly.

"I'm not teasing you, don't worry. I can hear you clearly, you know (pointing to his ear) I'm just like you, only I'm not an alpha (laughs again) It's just that you... are so cute."

Lyall snorted in annoyance. "It's the same. No, it's even worse!"

Dr. Erness laughed again. Lyall couldn't get close to anyone or talk much to anyone. It was just that Dr. Erness was different from him. His demeanor, appearance, and even the way he spoke were similar to those of his older brother. Even if his older brother were still alive, he would be the same age as Dr. Erness.

"Just don't get too close to her," Dr. Erness warned.

"Why? Is she crazy?" Lyall asked curiously, making Dr. Erness laugh again.

"No, that's not it. She's Eira, Lurvine's daughter." Doctor Erness lowered his voice. Although no one else heard him, Lyall heard him clearly.

"Who is Lurvine?" Lyall asked in a low voice as well.

"I can't explain now. It's just that it's best for you not to get involved with her. But she's a good girl. She has a truly kind heart." Doctor Erness looked at Eira, who was still unconscious. "But because of her family, we werewolves can't get too close to her."

Doctor Erness gently patted Lyall's arm. Lyall was still staring at Eira.

Who exactly is that strange girl?

Scott sat on the sofa, still reeling from the shock. Carl and Ron's expressions were no less shocked. "Is... Is it possible that his fur color could change?" Scott considered all the possibilities. "Lyall's is exactly the same as his grandfather's the last time I saw him," Carl assured. "But how is that possible?" Ron still couldn't believe it. 'So I've been misjudging him all this time? That he would kill Eira?' Scott wondered. "Then why were you so sure he was still in his pack at the time? Wasn't he a member of your pack too?" Scott was still searching for at least a small reason to justify his belief in Lyall. Carl shook his head. "Lyall comes from the LycroClaws pack, his father's pack, in Europe. You know Stella, my sister. I'm sure you know she married and lived with her husband and child in Europe. And life there was very difficult. It wasn't about material things, but about the struggle for power and the throne." "Throne? You mean, like a kingdom?" “Indeed. Lya

Lyall massaged his suddenly aching head.“Are you okay?” Eira asked.Nodded. “Hmm... I'm fine. So... Is this your farewell party?”“Of course not. This is the official announcement of us becoming good friends.”“Oooo..”“Why are you reacting like that?”“I thought we were already good friends.”“Well. .. At least this makes it official.”Lyall laughed. “Just stay like this, Eira. Be the cheerful Eira, not the nerd Eira.”“I'm used to being a nerd.”“No, you're not a nerd. You're the one who made them call you that.”Eira sighed. “I don't know. I prefer being invisible.”Lyall stared at Eira. “But you're too beautiful to be invisible.”Lyall's words made Eira's heart skip a beat. She was sure her face was now red with embarrassment. Eira cleared her throat. “Don’t try to lie to me,” she said, folding her arms across her chest.“I’m not lying. You have a beautiful face and a caring nature. That’s what makes you perfect in my eyes.”“Yes, only in your eyes. In the eyes of others, I’m a

"What are you doing here alone?" Zaiden asked. He saw Lyall standing for a long time on the edge of the cliff. "You're not going to jump, are you?" "I'm not crazy." Lyall shook his head, but his eyes were still closed. "I'm just enjoying the warmth of the morning sun." "You? Enjoying the morning sun?" Zaiden touched Lyall's forehead. "Are you sick?" Lyall snorted and slapped Zaiden's hand away. "It's not funny." "I was just asking. Besides, it's not like you to suddenly enjoy the morning sun." Lyall remained silent. They didn't speak for a while. "Do you remember? The three of us used to wake up early just to sunbathe. I remember Lycaon waking me up every morning. He even dragged me away when I didn't want to get up. Don't forget you were the one who helped him, his henchman." Lyall chuckled. "Then we'd run and train. I miss him." Zaiden sighed. Yes, he missed Lycaon too. He had been Lycaon's best friend since they were little. Where there's Lycaon, there's Zaiden. They're insep

  • The Lycan   No More Lies

That night, Eira paced back and forth in the forest near Carl's pack's alpha training ground. Occasionally, she peeked into the barracks and their surroundings. She seemed nervous and uneasy. She snuck out after dinner, telling her brother she was going to study for tomorrow's exam. Her brother wouldn't come into her room if she was studying for the exam. "What are you doing here, Eira?" a voice startled Eira. Eira froze for a moment, then slowly turned around. Zaiden was standing behind her. Eira breathed a sigh of relief. "You startled me. How did you know I was here?" Zaiden pointed to his ear. "Werewolf." "Ah... Right." Eira nodded. "And I could smell your nervousness from a mile away." "Re-really?" "Are you... okay? Do you want to see Karina? I'll call her." "No, no! Don't. I... I want to see you." "With me?" Eira nodded. “Uhm... I... I heard about Lyall.” “So?” “I... no, can you let me meet Lyall?” “Eira, I think—” “Please. Let me meet him just once.” Zaiden paused
