“Why did you come after me, Eugne? Why are you making my life so difficult?” an angry she-wolf shouted at a man who watched her drama with folded arms.

“I already told you, there is no 'me and you.' I prefer a human over a Gamma,” she snapped at the man. “You're old. It won't be long before you join the ranks of the elderly. What do you want with a young woman like me?”

The man stands there, coolly listening to the insults of the woman who is supposed to be his mate.
