Chapter 11: Stranger Danger?

Grace and Jason got to the hospital in good time. The Department knew Grace well, as she has done many of her placements there. They welcomed her with open arms and gave her a doctor gown and PPE after she scrubbed up. The A and E were busy preparing for the oncoming onslaught. There had been a major pile-up on the motorway, at least 10 cars were involved. 

“Right listen up, we have at least 15 patients on the way, 4 of them critical with suspected heart and spinal injuries. The rest includes broken bones, lacerations and shock. You know your positions, make sure you get in contact with staff. Everyone knows Grace Evans, she deserted us to work with the WHO. She is very experienced so USE HER! This is as real as it gets my lambs, so watch your backs and support each other!” The lead A and E Doctor, Jane August said.

“You look hot in those scrubs,” Jason said.

“Shut up Jason and concentrate,” Grace said after rolling her eyes.

“What? I just suppor
