Chapter 35 : The Morning After*

Grace woke up with a jump as she heard the fire alarm go off. She looked around to find Xan and she jumped up to find him. She quickly slipped on a silk dressing gown and ran to find Xan.

“Xan! Xan!” She Shouted desperately.

 Grace coughed as a plume of black smoke Was filling the penthouse. 

"Had they been attacked? Is Xan hurt?" Grace thought as she made her way to the kitchen. 

Grace did not expect to see the apocalyptic scene that was in front of her! Xan was desperately shouting at Denug to put a pan of burnt scrambled eggs out. So badly burnt, the eggs were on fire along with some toast!

Denug in his wisdom had put water on the situation, which made the oil in the pan explode into flames.

“Nǐ zhè gāisǐ de bèndàn!” Xan snapped (You bloody fool!)

“Wǒ shì shǎguā? Zhìshǎo wǒ kěyǐ zhǔ jīdàn hé kǎo miànbāo!” Denug retort
