CASSANDRA'S POV~

I woke up to silence.

My hand reached out across the bed, instinctively searching for warmth, for him.

But it was empty.

Adriano was gone.

A strange pang twisted in my chest. There were no missed calls. No texts. Nothing to say where he’d gone or why he’d left before I woke up. Not even a damn “see you later.”

I sat up, my throat tight, brushing my hair out of my face in frustration. And then I saw it—a small edge of white, sticking out beneath his pillow.
