Chapter 10

Ameena climbed the wooden staircase, her legs feeling as though they were weighed down by lead. Every creak of the floor beneath her footsteps sounded like a death knell for her dignity. There was only one image in her mind: Alby. He had to live. She could not let the man die, because if Damien died, her last hope of paying for her son’s surgery would be buried along with him.

When she reached the master bedroom door, she stopped for a moment. Her breathing was ragged. She took a deep breath, trying to gather whatever courage she had left. She no longer cared about the shame or humiliation she would have to endure. She was simply a mother trading her soul for the survival of her child.

The moment she entered, a scorching heat immediately greeted her. The bright crystal lights had been turned off, leaving only the dim moonlight filtering through the large curtains. On the spacious bed, Damien looked like a giant being tormented by demons. His athletic body writhed wildly, his muscles tensed violently, and the groans escaping his mouth sounded like the growls of an animal caught in a trap.

Ameena locked the door. Her hands trembled as she began undoing the buttons of her servant uniform one by one. The fabric fell to the floor, followed by her undergarments, until she finally stood there in complete nakedness. She felt terribly cold even though the air inside the room felt like a blazing furnace.

She approached the bed with hesitant steps. Damien no longer recognized anyone. His eyes were tightly shut, his face covered in streams of sweat, and his breathing sounded like the roar of a malfunctioning engine. Ameena crawled onto the bed, her body stiff with tension. The moment her knees touched the soft mattress, Damien instinctively moved toward her.

Ameena squeezed her eyes shut. She touched Damien’s lips with her cold fingers. The man became slightly calmer, but moments later, Damien’s large hands gripped Ameena’s waist with enough strength to nearly crush her bones.

Damien did not know who this woman was. To him, amid the haze of the poison burning through his brain, the woman before him was nothing more than an oasis in the middle of the Sahara Desert. The moment Ameena’s lips touched his, Damien devoured them with savage hunger. He did not allow Ameena to take the lead; he seized control, greedily drawing in every inch of breath that escaped her mouth.

“Ah... slowly...” Ameena whispered hoarsely as Damien began exploring her neck with kisses that felt like electric shocks. The man bit the skin of her neck with an intensity that made Ameena moan unconsciously.

Damien’s hands moved, squeezing the flesh of Ameena’s chest with tremendous force. When he began sucking on her nipple, the man groaned deep in his throat. He felt a warm liquid filling his mouth—a liquid that felt incredibly familiar, soothing, and sweet.

A vague memory flashed through Damien’s mind, but it quickly disappeared beneath another wave of desire that struck him. He did not care what the liquid was. All he knew was that every drop seemed to draw the poison burning through his nerves out of his body. Damien moved with surprising agility, as though his body knew exactly what to do even though his rational mind had long since been disconnected from reality.

A raging storm in the middle of the sea might have been the best way to describe what was happening on that bed. Damien was like a massive wave crashing against the rocks, continuing to surge forward with a rhythm that grew deeper and more intense. Ameena, who had initially been frightened, now felt her body beginning to react on its own. She was like a small ship tossed about in the current, forced to follow wherever the wind carried the captain who had now lost his compass.

Every touch from Damien felt like an ancient language that Ameena’s body understood, even though her logic fiercely rejected it. The man combined strength with patience, guiding Ameena toward one exhausting peak after another. It felt as though there were blocked energy within both their bodies that was now allowed to flow freely without restraint.

Ameena bit her lower lip to suppress the sounds escaping her throat. She felt her soul slowly separating from her body, floating above the dark room. At the same time, Damien appeared to be struggling between life and death. Every movement he made was an attempt to drive the demon from inside his body, and Ameena, despite being forced into it, became the only place where he could release all that torment.

Outside the room, Elena and Luky stood guard, holding their breath. They could hear the sounds coming from behind the door, but neither dared to approach. To them, those sounds were the heartbeat proving that Damien was still alive.

Back inside, the atmosphere grew even hotter. Damien pulled Ameena closer, as though he wanted to merge their bodies into one. He did not stop, as if stopping even for a moment would allow death to seize him immediately. Ameena herself could no longer think about anything. She had surrendered everything—her dignity, her honor, and the secret of her body, which was now continuously giving life to the man she had always regarded as a monster.

That night, in the room shrouded in darkness, Ameena was not serving a mafia king. She was serving the most basic biological need, which ironically saved the life of the very person she hated most. Their bodies moved in wild synchronization, a dance of death that slowly transformed into life.

When the waves finally reached their peak, Damien let out a long roar that echoed down the corridor, a sound signaling that he had finally won the battle against the poison threatening his life. The man slowly collapsed over Ameena’s body, his breathing, which had previously been scorching hot, gradually returning to normal, though it remained heavy.

Ameena lay there, staring blankly at the dark ceiling. Her final tears streamed from the corners of her eyes, soaking the pillow. She felt dirty, as though she had betrayed herself, yet at the same time, she felt an overwhelming sense of relief. She had done it. She had paid the price demanded of her to remain standing in this mansion.

Beside her, Damien slept soundly in a stable condition. The poison was no longer ravaging his body. He did not know who the woman beneath him was, he did not know what had happened, and most importantly, he would never know that the fat servant he had humiliated the night before had saved his life for the second time.

Ameena rose with every joint in her body aching. She crawled down from the bed very slowly so as not to wake the man. She picked up the remnants of her clothes from the floor and dressed with hands that were still trembling violently. She looked at Damien one more time before leaving.

The man looked so peaceful in his sleep. There was no longer any trace of anger or horror on his face. Ameena could only pray that this man would soon forget tonight, because if Damien ever found out who had been with him in bed, she was certain her fate would be far worse than death.

Ameena left the room with unsteady steps. Outside, the mansion had fallen silent once again. She walked down the long corridor, paying no attention to the gazes of several guards stationed outside the door. She had to return to the servants’ quarters, wash herself thoroughly, and immediately think of a way to send additional money to Alby the next morning.

When she reached her own room, Ameena immediately collapsed onto the narrow bed. She curled up like a baby in the womb, trying to find warmth amid the storm she had just endured. She closed her eyes, trying to summon Alby’s face in her memory, hoping that image could erase the memory of the man’s body over hers.

“It’s absolutely disgusting!” Ameena muttered, scratching at the skin where Damien had kissed her.

Chapter 9The roar of the convoy’s SUV engines tore through the night at full speed, running red lights in their desperate rush to reach the main Leonardo family residence. Inside the vehicle, Damien groaned in restraint. His body temperature was scorching, making the air inside the cabin feel stifling. The veins in his temples and neck bulged prominently, revealing the immense torment gnawing away at his consciousness. As soon as the car stopped in the mansion’s main courtyard, the guards sprang into action. Luky and one of his loyal guards, Hugo, carried Damien’s muscular yet weakened body, now drained by the deadly poison. They hurried him inside and headed straight for the master’s private bedroom.Inside the room, the situation was already far more chaotic. Elena Leonardo—the biological mother of Damien—paced back and forth with a deathly pale face and violently trembling hands. Chapter 8Morning gradually passed into noon at the Leonardo residence, with the tension from the previous night still lingering in the air. Ameena slowly stepped out of the servant’s bathroom after freshening herself up. Her eyelids were slightly swollen from the tears of fear and the overwhelming emotions that had consumed her the night before. Before heading to the nursery to carry out her main duties, Ameena reached for the worn-out bag neatly stored beneath her bed. Her hand took out a small cloth wallet whose color had already faded. From within its folds, she removed one half of a silver earring engraved with a rose pattern that looked simple yet carried countless memories.Ameena gazed sorrowfully at the tiny piece of jewelry resting in her palm. The earring was an extremely precious keepsake to her.“I have to find the other half of this earring,” Ameena murmured softly, her voice filled with restrained desperation. “Even though I know the chances of finding it again are extr

Chapter 7The silence that enveloped the nursery gradually became suffocating. Damien was still standing there, frozen in place, the image of Ameena’s face flushed with anger still etched clearly into his mind. Just moments ago, a servant—a woman who was far beneath him in the hierarchy—had dared to shout at him, call him a monster, and challenge him with courage that was almost incomprehensible.Throughout his life, Damien had been surrounded by women who constantly praised and admired him, competing with one another to attract his attention through every cunning means imaginable. They all wanted his wealth, his power, or simply the thrill of becoming the wife of a mafia king. Yet, the woman standing before him had looked at him with nothing but pure hatred. There was no feigned respect, no seduction, only profound exhaustion and the determination of a mother fighting for her child’s life.Without saying a word, Damien turned around. His heavy footsteps left slightly bloodstained boo

Chapter 6That night, the Leonardo mansion was shrouded in suffocating silence. After spending the entire day suppressing her turbulent emotions, Ameena felt utterly exhausted. Her role as a wet nurse drained more of her energy than she had ever imagined. Her abundant milk production often made her stomach growl in the middle of the night, as though her body were constantly processing nutrients for her employer's baby.Ameena glanced at the wall clock, which already showed two in the morning. With light footsteps, she left her room and headed toward the kitchen. A mansion this large had a kitchen even more spacious than the apartment where she lived. She only wanted to cook some instant noodles, just enough to fill her stomach so she could sleep peacefully. While waiting for the water to boil on the stove, her ears caught a strange whizzing sound from outside the mansion walls.Boom!A loud explosion followed by the sound of shattering glass startled Ameena so badly that she nearly dr

The cold marble floor of the corridor seemed to absorb the last remnants of courage Ameena possessed. After Damien left, she rose to her feet, her legs still trembling, and roughly wiped away her tears. She knew that in this place, tears were a luxury that would only make her appear weak in the eyes of the other servants who were always watching her.Meanwhile, inside his spacious office, Damien Leonardo was fighting a battle with himself. He grabbed the glass of whiskey from the table, downed it in one gulp, then hurled the glass against the wall, where it shattered upon impact."Damn it!" he cursed, his breathing ragged. His mind was trapped. The image of the fat maid's cleavage kept spinning through his thoughts, haunting every last corner of his sanity. He felt betrayed by his own body. Every time he closed his eyes, he no longer saw the figure of his late wife, but the curves of that strange woman—Ameena. A burning heat spread from his lower abdomen, making his blood boil with a
