Angelo

A sinister smile curled on my lips as I saw the fear in her eyes, just as I desired. I was a man in control, and no one defied me.

"Clean yourself up and get ready to join the maids." I declared.

Alessia's shocked expression clouded her eyes and she stuttered "M...aids?"

I cast a cold look at her and affirmed, "Yes, from today, you'll be my maid and also my sex slave." She should prepare herself to serve me. Mercilessly.

"Please let me go. I have a life ahead of me. My parents, my career. I promise not to tell anyone what I saw. I swear on my life." She began begging, pleading for her freedom.

But her pleas fell on deaf ears as I slapped her hard, making her stagger back. I warned her, "Next time, I'd cut off one of your fingers if you mention anything about me letting you go."

Leaving her in the room, I stormed out, my mind already plotting the next move in this twisted game.

I made my way downstairs, and as I did, my personal guard, Kevin, approached me with a look of urgency on his face. He wasted no time in delivering the news.

"The chip has arrived," he reported.

A satisfied smile crept onto my lips. This was a significant development. "Prepare the car for our next move." I said and he nodded, swiftly heading off to carry out my orders.

Before continuing on my way, I retraced my steps to the kitchen, where I found the head maid. I leaned in and whispered to her, "Keep a close eye on Alessia. If she attempts anything, you know how to handle her." Even though the entire house was guarded by my men, I couldn't afford any surprises. She wouldn't escape my grasp.

The room was dimly lit, filled with the pungent odor of grease and smoke. At its center, someone sat in chains, a figure shrouded in darkness. My steps echoed softly as I approached, a smile playing on my lips.

"Long time no see," I said with a mocking tone.

I leaned in closer, continuing, "Did you really think I wouldn't find you? Tracking you down was child's play."

But my words were met with defiance. The figure spit on me and yelled, "You are a monster!"

Fury coursed through my veins, and I wasted no time. My gun was in my hand in an instant, and I fired a shot that struck the man in the arm. His scream filled the room. I gripped his cheeks tightly, my voice a dangerous growl.

"All of you are going to pay for your crimes," I seethed. "I will find each and every single one of you. You all are going to taste hell!"

As the pain coursed through the man's arm, his defiance started to wane, replaced by fear. I reveled in his agony. In the dimly lit room, my expression remained cold, unmoved by his suffering.

My grip on his cheeks tightened, and I leaned in so close that our noses nearly touched. "I hope you understand now," I whispered, my voice carrying a malevolent tone. "This is just the beginning. You will watch as everything you care about crumbles, just like the lives you've destroyed."

With that, I released him, and the man slumped in his chains, gasping and defeated. The room remained a den of shadows, echoing with the lingering threat of vengeance.

I turned and walked away, my footsteps echoing through the dark and cold chamber. My mission to bring every last one of them to justice had only just begun.

Outside the room, I found Kevin waiting with the car ready. His face was as stoic as always, reflecting the cold and determined demeanor that was necessary in our line of work.

"Everything is in place, Angelo," he said, acknowledging my return.

I nodded, getting into the car. It was time to leave this dark chapter behind and step into the even darker world of organized crime. Each move we made was a step closer to dismantling the network of criminals that had infiltrated our lives.

As we drove away from the grim scene, the echoes of the man's cries and my own ominous words continued to linger in my mind. The pursuit of vengeance was a relentless force, and it would drive us to the edge of darkness, where only the strongest would survive.

**

It was late night when I returned back home after taking care of few business. What I didn't expect is for Alessia to charge at me the very first step I took inside the living room. "You're finally back. Please let me go. I can't stay here."

"Why do you want to leave, Alessia?" I asked, my tone devoid of emotion. "Thought I had made myself clear."

Her eyes welled up with tears, but she held my gaze. "I have a life outside of this place. I have family and friends who are probably worried sick about me. Please, just let me go."

It was almost amusing, the way she believed a simple plea would change my mind. I'd been through too much, and my vendetta against those who had wronged me was too consuming. The woman before me was merely a pawn in my game.

"Alessia," I began, "You're here for a reason, and I can't afford to let you go just yet. You see, you're part of a larger plan. For now, you're staying right here."

She slumped, her shoulders dropping in defeat. But I had no sympathy for her. In my world, the ruthless pursuit of vengeance left little room for empathy.

I watched her silently, her realization sinking in. Alessia had become an unwilling participant in my grand scheme, a tool to be used in my quest for revenge.

For a moment, a flicker of anger passed through her eyes. But she couldn't escape the reality of her situation. She had been sold to me, and now she was under my control.

"I can't stay here forever," she muttered, almost as if to herself. "Someone will come looking for me."

I knew she was right. Sooner or later, people would wonder where Alessia had disappeared to. But time was on my side, and I intended to make the most of it.

"Alessia," I said, my voice colder than ever, "You'll stay here until I decide otherwise. The world outside can be a cruel place, and you're safer here with me."

With that, I turned and walked away, leaving her with the harsh reality of her new existence. Alessia wasn't the first pawn in my game, and she wouldn't be the last. In my world, there were no heroes, only players and the games they played to survive.

I had thought my words had somehow put some sense into her but my steps halted when I was about to turn on the doorknob and her voice cut through. "Tell me what do you intend to do with me?"

I turned back to face her, studying her face carefully. Her fear and confusion were evident, but she also held a glimmer of determination. She wasn't going to give in easily, and I admired that about her.

"What I intend to do," I replied, my tone measured, "Is to use you as leverage. You're a valuable asset now, Alessia. Your presence here gives me power and control over certain people who have wronged me."

She swallowed hard, her eyes darting around the room as if seeking an escape that she knew wasn't there. "And then what? Once you're done with your vendetta, you'll let me go?"

I allowed a faint, mirthless smile to grace my lips. "Alessia, in my world, there are no guarantees. I have my enemies, and they won't rest until they've destroyed me. I won't risk letting you go until I'm absolutely sure you won't be used against me."

The realization of her predicament seemed to settle in, and her shoulders slumped. "So, I'm your prisoner?"

I nodded, the weight of my world pressing upon me as I locked eyes with her. "For now, you are. But remember, you're not alone in this. I'll make sure you have everything you need, but you must also understand the consequences of trying to escape."

Her gaze held mine, a mix of fear and defiance. "I'm not going to make this easy for you, Angelo."

I simply inclined my head, acknowledging her spirit. "Good. I'd expect nothing less."

With that, I turned and left her alone, wondering how this captive would fit into the complicated chessboard of my life.
