Lorenzo’s pov

I stared at Blair’s face with an unimpressed expression as my mouth formed a thin line. I was currently sitting in one of my offices, and my guards were standing right in front of me, holding Blair in place and preventing her from moving.

After holding her gaze for long seconds, I gave a slow shake of my head before breathing out a small laugh.

“Have you forgotten what I told you? The warning I gave you?” I asked in a soft voice through a smile tugging at the side of my lips. Blair was trembling, her eyes were as wide as saucers and her gaze kept darting around, like she was expecting a savior to come out from thin air and rescue her.

“Answer me.” I breathed out after a few heartbeats, all traces of playfulness gone from my face as I slowly sat up.
