“Are you okay?” Don spoke as he stood up and approached her.

“I'm fine,” Julia said without looking up. She knelt down and started picking at the shattered fragments on the ground.

“Wait, I'll get Paloma to do that.” Don told her.

But she quickly declined his help, “I can do it myself, thank you.”

The mafia boss stared in surprise as he watched her pack the glass on the floor. Had his position with Sabrina made her drop the coffee?

As he watched her, he noticed she had a little cut on her hand. He immediately grabbed her hand and examined the wound.

“You need to get this treated now!” he told her, referring to her hand.

Julia angrily removed her hand from his and hid it behind her back.

“I said I am fine!” She exclaimed, then walked out of the room, carrying the broken pieces with her.

Don stood stunned by what had just occurred. Did he just get yelled at?

Sabrina approached his front and rested her hands on his shoulders.

“Isn't she the same lady you brought to the gala?”

Julia laid in her bed; it was her day off, so she slept in. She was exhausted from work and could not do anything but sleep.Soon, the alarm went off, and she hissed. She had forgotten to put it off. Grudgingly, she tossed to the side and slammed her hand on the object, putting it off, then she went to sleep. Few minutes later, she heard a knock on her door. This time she was really pissed off by the disturbance and she decided to ignore it. Then she heard the knock again and stood up to open it. Paloma stood in front of her with a smiley face, “Hello.”Julia sighed. "I planned to sleep in today. Why the disturbance?”"Oh, I apologize, but I just had to tell you this."“Spill it.” Julia said.“The boss has invited you for breakfast. You are to eat with him and he is waiting for you in the dining hall.” she explained.“The boss? Eat with me? When did all these start?” Julia asked inquisitively.Paloma shrugged then said, “I will leave you to get dressed.” and she turned to go.***Ju

“Boss?” one of his men, Stefano, approached him as he sat in his office.Don looked up from his paperwork, “Yes?”“Mr. Martin is here to see you.” the young man said.Don nodded, “Bring him in.”When the man left, he took out a cigar from his drawer and lit it. He exhaled and leaned back in his chair, bringing his legs up to the table.“Hey step-brother!” Martin said loudly. He was careful enough to not mistakenly say the word “brother”.Don did not answer, instead he puffed out more smoke.“You should have told me you have strengthened your security.” his step-brother said.“I need to keep my guards up. I can never predict what will happen next,” Don answered then added, “I called you to talk about something that has just happened recently.”The boss watched him, looking for any hint of change in his face.“Care to tell me about it?” his step-brother said as he pulled out a smoke from his pants pocket and sat down.“Some of my men are missing. Do you happen to know about it?” he aske

Don arrived at the rooftop and went straight to the balcony area. He pulled out his cigar as he stared at the scene below.Using his lighter, he lit the cigar and placed it in his mouth. He inhaled slowly before puffing out. He needed to think clearly about his next plan. Time was running out, and if he did not plan ahead, he might have to deal with the consequences later. It has been several months since he last heard from his rival, the Moranos. But recently his men had been captured and he wondered who was behind it. The person must have a lot of nerve to want to provoke him.Was Martin the one behind the abduction? Don shook his head. He knew his brother was up to some mischief, but he wasn't sure if there was more to it.Then he remembered he had invited Martin over for a chat. It wasn't what he wanted, but he had to do it, at least to uncover the person behind that deed.“Boss?” Marcello called out to him.He turned to face his personal assistant who was standing face down.“You

Donatello woke up next to Julia. At first, he was startled at the fact that he had fallen asleep next to her but then he realized that just like the last time, he had also slept peacefully. They had just engaged in pleasurable sex and now they laid nakedly close to each other. Don turned to look at Julia, who appeared to be sleeping soundly, like a baby.He let out a smile. Only if she realized what she was doing to him. She had forced him to break his habit of not sleeping with a woman twice, and now, worse, they were lying together in bed! While he was still staying with her, she tossed to his side and placed her arm around his naked body. His body shuddered. No lady dared to touch him unless he consented, but here she was unconsciously doing so.As she laid close to him, he could perceive her scent; her hair smelled of lavender, this was something he had not taken note of. Brittany must have really made sure she smelled nice for him, he thought.Julia, who was still sleeping, inch

When the vehicle arrived at the building, Julia jumped out and headed towards the entrance without waiting for her boss to open the door.Don got out of the car and stared at her as she walked away, wondering what had caused her to act that way. When he got in, he went straight to his office and sat down. He took out a cigar from his drawer, placed it in his mouth, and lit it.Don took a huff and exhaled deeply. He had a lot on his mind but could not concentrate. He was particularly disturbed by the fact that he had caught Martin and Julia in an engaging conversation. What topic could they have been discussing to demand that kind of expression? He had noticed she looked quite sad while talking to him, and now she just went straight to her room without a word.“Had Martin said something hurtful in some way to her?” he asked himself before taking another puff. Then he took a pause. What if it wasn't about Martin? What if it was about him?Suddenly, he smirked, “It can't be.” he muttered

Donatello's gaze swept across the building, his arms clinging to Sabrina's waist as she rested her hand on his shoulder. The duo moved in sync with the slow music's beat. The memory of their pratice was returning now, and his muscles appeared to recall each step of the dance they had always learned. Those were their happy moments, not until everything came crashing down. His father introduced his new concubine, and Sabrina went to live with her mother. The people he had once cared about left him and he began to feel dejected, making a promise to never put too much interest in anyone again.“What are you thinking of?” Sabrina asked as she waved at his face.“Nothing really, what were you saying?”“The lady you came with, who is she?” she asked.Don looked over to Julia. He saw her talking to a man and immediately became angry. Who said she could have a conversation with another man?Just as he was about to take his gaze away from her, he noticed who she was speaking with: Martin?!Imme

Martin entered the hall to see it packed with affluent people. They were too preoccupied with their conversation and greetings to notice his arrival.Even though it was not his first time attending an opening gala, the social atmosphere remained the same; nobody seemed to care about him, and even if they did, they would quickly brush him off with a litany of shady glances. He was nothing compared to his step brother who could easily pull it off. Donatello had always stolen the spotlight wherever he went and most times he made Martin feel even more inferior. As he made his way to the center of the hall, Martin caught sight of Julia standing alone. He smiled and licked his lips. He noticed she looked even more alluring with her slitted gown and flowing hair.“Don must have taken his time to groom her,” he said to himself with a smirk. As he got closer, he notice that Julia was constantly staring at someone, and when he turned to look, he saw his step brother dancing with Miss Sabrina V

The vehicle came to a halt in front of the mansion, a building with modern architectural design.Julia looked through the window and saw couples walking in, the ladies linking their hands on the men's arm as they entered. As she watched them greet one another, she knew they were people in positions of power, she observed how the ladies' facial expressions demonstrated their happiness and how they appeared to carry themselves with grace, which made her feel less. How was she going to act in the presence of so many people?Julia let out a sigh. She knew she wasn't meant to be here. This was not where she wanted to be either. While she was still immersed in the scene in front of her, the door opened and she looked up to see Don extend his hand in front of her.He smiled, but she could not tell if it was genuine. With his eyes, he gestured to his hand and she immediately placed her hand in his.Gently, she got down from the vehicle and straightened her outfit. It is only for today, she r
