CHAPTER 10

The following day Alice was couped up under her duvet because she refused to leave her bed unless absolutely necessary. She had bathed of course and had her meals on time, but she refused to see anyone otherwise. Alice was beginning to regret ever asking to join into her brother’s Mafia once upon a time. She still wanted to learn how to fight in order to defend herself, but she didn’t think that she had in her to kill someone the way that woman had done yesterday.

A knock came from sounded from the door and she sighed because she knew that it was finally time to go back to the real world before her brother dragged her out by force. Alice got off her bed and strolled to the door and opened to see Luca standing there. She didn’t know whether to hide or run from him.

Her appearance wasn’t too shabby, but she was wearing a cute little, shorts and  a vest pyjama that had designs of panda’s on it. It was awkward for a few seconds until Luca cleared his throat and Alic
