Giovanni was still very upset and the air around them was still very tense. Bernie felt like he was going to suffocate because Ava and Giovanni were glaring daggers at each other.
To clear the air he coughed before speaking, “I will have to apologise on behalf of my partner, she is a little tense today.” Bernie said with a forced smile.
“At least your partner has manners. Now, let us get right down to the reason you are actually here for. What do you want from me?” Giovanni said as he waited for one of the detectives to speak. Ava looked like she wanted to talk but Bernie decided he was going to beat her too it or else they wouldn’t get anywhere today.
“Mr Russo, we want to ask you a few questions about what happened at the gala.” Bernie asked as he pulled out his small note pad.
“Nothing special really.” Giovanni said and smirked purposefully as he directed it at Ava.
