Bold and Fearless

" What did you say?"Alex spoke up looking at her, such a little lady coming to him and willing to do something so dangerous.

" Little lamb, do you know who I am?"He asked taking a few steps towards her. This made Alyssa draw back a little in fear not because he was actually getting closer to her, but also because he wouldn't drop his gun.

" What are you doing?" His voice sounded really cold when he noticed she was moving backwards little by little, he stopped and stared at her for a while before speaking. " How can a scared little flower like you wish to sign a contract with me. What do I stand to gain by letting you " He asked making a scared Alyssa take a step closer to him.

" I clearly heard you, I do not need your love or affection,and isn't that what you want?.". She asked sounding so bold all of a sudden. Alex scoffed and tried taking another step closer to her, she moved back. He looked at the gun he was holding and suddenly smiled.

" I am dangerous, if you must know". Alex said and dropped the gun back into his side pocket.

" I don't deal with innocent girls who aren't pretty, especially those who are extremely weak" He continued without blinking while he looked at her.

" I don't ever show love or affection, and I don't think I need one either. What ever happens to you because of me isn't something I'm usually bothered about. So little lamb I suggest to turn around and think about this again because once you're in, you don't dare go back until it's over ". His intimidating voice sounded yet again.

Alyssa could tell he was joking, he must really be a dangerous one. Just seconds ago,she could have turned around to leave but she stayed back.

" We don't get to tell each other our secrets, our pain and troubles. Avoid each other only when necessary. Neglect the safety of each other but...." She tried concluding buy decided to pause and read his reaction.

" I wish to love, and never be loved back by the same person. Ignore my affection for you and never reciprocate it back ."

Though Alex was stunned listening to the words of the lady standing in front of him, but he wasn't ready to show how suprised he was.

She would actually be the first lady to ever say this to him, what? She doesn't want his love or affection? Well that's strange and he couldn't believe it.

Maybe she would just change like the former one just did as time goes by.

Just a few seconds ago, Alex swore that he was about to agree, but didn't know what held him back from saying yes.

After giving her a five minute long look,he turned to walk away not until she called his name.

" Alex, Mr Alex right? Isn't this an offer that you want? I really don't know why you need a Contracted Woman,but I need someone like you right now ". Alyssa said sounding so bold and daring.

She wasn't gonna let his voice and dark gaze intimidate her any longer. That's it ,if she wants to get him then she has to show she isn't a weakling like he said.

" Little lamb" he murmured to himself as he dropped his hand and then the look in his eyes changed again into a less cold and intimidating one.

" Just run along now " he said and turned to leave again.

Alyssa exhaled as she watched him moving away from her, he gaze watching his retreating perfect and graceful figure which was almost driving her nuts.

Closing her fist tightly she suddenly thought of an idea.

The chauffeur had already opened the door for Alex to enter when she called his name.

" Mr Alex " Alyssa called closing her eyes, while her fist still remained tightly closed trying to control her fear.

" What now!!" He questioned turning back to look at her.

" Are you sure that you won't fall for anyone or show not even a little bit of love and affection to that person? From what I heard, you're willing to make someone your girlfriend as long as she doesn't demand for you love right? So why reject my offer when I clearly stated that I would never ask for it. Don't you believe me?

Silence reigned between them for a little moment. Alex stated at her through his narrow eyes and probably astonished at her sudden boldness.

Maybe he had actually underestimated this young lady standing right in front of him and compared to the look she has now and that look she had before, she seemed quiet different in just a short period of time.

But what could be her reason for wanting this so bad.

" Maybe I prove you wrong and make you love ". Alyssa said even though she didn't mean to say such a thing,and it only came out from her mouth as a means to get him shaken by her words and take her serious.

Alex chuckled lightly and began laughing seconds later.

" Young lady, are you perhaps thinking you could eventually prove me wrong and make me fall in love with you? " He scoffed looking at her.

" Well that's too bad for you because it wouldn't work,.... Countless ladies even the famous ones tried already and it didn't even move me an inch. So what are you possibly capable of ?"

Alyssa kept her cool with a smirk on her face trying not to make his words move her, even the meanest ones. " Then how about you try me huh? I promise not to demand for you love, but instead watch you change completely". She uttered making Alex stunned again.

Alex came towards her and held the tip of her hair " Seems like you don't know what you're getting yourself into right now. I might be like the devil himself , heartless, merciless and incredibly dangerous. Are you still willing?

His warning weren't enough to make her back off or disagree, Alyssa has never been this brave,bold and determining all her life.

" Do you Know what and who a Mafia is?" His voice sounded calm this time but extremely low while he whispered to her ear.

Alyssa widened her head when she heard him.

" A Mafia? She questioned silently to herself.

No wonder he was always so scary and intimidating. She knew little about Mafia's but with the little she knows,she was still willing to continue.

She cared less about his work or who he really is and only wanted to love the remaining of her live doing exactly all what she wants and had always wished to do.

She was already imagining the outcome of what she was about getting herself into, and though she had imagined a really dangerous future but this man standing right in front of her was the man she had been looking for after hearing about her illness. A man who doesn't love.

She bit her lower lips and sighed before giving him an answer. "I'm willing" Her voice sounded cold just like his had sounded before.
