Still, he held tight to the gun and took a few steps back, watching Luca who had his head down, drowning in his pain.

The underboss suddenly sniffed, rose to his feet, wiped the tears off his eyes and then adjusted his tie.

He had managed to bundle all of his emotions and locked them in the prison of the heart where they would remain out of reach.

This was a mechanism he sometimes use to clear his head and concentrate on an important mission.
