Chapter 3

Dominic’s POV

With her arms clasped, the girl sat on the bed's edge, her lips pressing down in a firm line.

With her defiance, she held a stronghold on me, her blue eyes twinkling like she wanted to annihilate me.

"I'm not some slave." Her voice cracked slightly.

Her voice hinted that her fear was not the same as that of any other captive.

My eyes were unreadable as I stared at her.

Despite being as captive as she presumed she still showed fearless behaviour.

She had a small physique which matched her stubbornness. She was probably in her early twenties.

“You're not going to treat me like a slave,”

"I'm not required to chain you," I replied, my tone being colder than intended. The person in question remained silent.

Her face shook in anger, and she silently spoke a series of curses, calling me whatever different names.

“What are you going to do? Keep me locked in here? This is bullying and kidnapping.

You are only doing this because you know I can't do anything in return because you can overpower me.”

She said this with a bit of hesitation. Her words barely registered. Instead, I was focused on examining her.

I couldn't wrap my head around the familiarity of her. She brought back things which were just flickering memories.

Then I turned around and left the room. After she began to curse at me, I ignored her and left.

Despite the dim lighting in my hallway, the wall sconces were softly reflecting off of the polished ceramic floors.

When I went out of the door, my security personnel stood by and secured the door.

I commanded him to stay in place when he tried to follow me. "Keep an eye on her," I said quietly.

We exchanged glances and he nodded.

I walked down the hall, my footsteps echoing in the silence.

Her face created memories in my head. Ones that I had tried to forget but failed.

They were probably the same age or close to.

Upon entering, I was met with a familiar voice that was filled with irritation.

This time, you've done it right, " Selena snapped, her arms crossed, and she leaned on my desk.

"Selena," I said but she knelt at me.

"I heard you brought in a blonde.," she said, her voice filled with contempt.

"Oh, I must have forgotten to mention. A blonde who has blue eyes."

"What's the matter with you, Dominic?"

I sighed silently as I closed the door behind me, but my irritation persisted inside.

"Selena, this is not the right moment." --

"Not the right time? The time has come," she exclaimed, her voice shaking.

"I'm not sure how many more girls you intend to bring here, just to find her.

You just end up hurting yourself when you fail to find her every time.

How many times are you going to be hurt? You're missing the girl you never knew. It was just an encounter.*

I felt a tug on my nerves when she spoke, and I brought my fist to the desk.

The room was filled with the sound of a sharp crack, and Selena fell silent as her tirade faded away.

I growled, my voice ringing hollow.

“I don't bring her here for that reason. She's here for another reason.”

“What other reason, Dominic?” She persisted.

“Not for her. I can assure you that.".

Her mouth widened to defend herself, but she had a different perspective.

Taking in the air, I held my breath. "I received the girl as collateral.

Her father’s debt is due and she'll remain in this place until it's paid. That's all this is.”

Selena lowered an eyebrow, with doubts all over her face.

“Selena,” I called her name, moving closer.

“You can't keep questioning me like this simply because we've been friends since childhood.

I can do what I want. You don't have the right to question me. I only give you some privileges because we've been friends for a long time.”

The tone tinged with guilt as she looked on with a small part. "Sorry, it's just..." She replied. “I'm tired, Dominic. I'm tired of your weary obsession with pursuing some ghost.”

With my eyes fixed on her, I leaned against the desk and let go of any thoughts that crossed my mind.

I knew she wasn't a ghost.

For over 12 years, the memory of that day was as vivid as if it had been yesterday.

At a young age, I was a boy who experienced smoky scenes around the world.

The kids were screaming, their heavy boots waving in the middle of the forest as we played in the park.

Upon my arrival, I came across a girl of my age with blonde hair and brilliant blue eyes.

She was absolutely gorgeous! A daisy chain was being worn by her while she sat near a stream, singing mellow.

When she saw me, she didn't run or scream like the other kids who observed my father's men.

Instead, she smiled and leaned over to the ground.'

With a gentle voice, she asked, "Are you missing?".

I nodded, unable to speak. She had led me back to the trail with her hand and kindness.

I brought a small bead from my pocket and put it in her hand, hoping for her to be my friend.

Before I could have another moment with her, my father's men dragged me pulling me over to the car.

I was unaware of her name until the men dragged me away, her image becoming indelibly familiar to me.

All I could think of was a small, delicate rose with one thorn tattoo on the back of her neck.

I never saw her again after that. I've always wondered where she was and how she was doing

I was transported to the present moment by Selena's cockiness. "Dominic?".

With a screeching voice, I said to Selena, "Keep going forward. See how it ends.”

“I'm sorry.” She apologised.

I polished, concealing my emotions. "It's all good," I said softly.

"You're not," she muttered, her voice becoming gentler.

"This has been a long time. It's not my intention to cause you any harm. "

I didn't respond. There was nothing to say.

I heard a loud knock at the entrance, and my guard entered.

"The traitor has been apprehended," he declared.

I stood up and pushed back from the desk, I made my way towards the door.

“Dominic, be careful,” I didn't turn back to Selena, who spoke with a worried tone.

Dominic My face fell.“How did that happen?” I asked under a scowl, and Mark lowered his head.“It is my carelessness. I should have expected Luca to find out in due time. I'm sure he is the one behind the sudden attack.” He replied slowly, and I fell silent with a dark expression. “Is there no way you can retrieve the facial recognition history?” James inquired, and Mark shook his head bitterly.“The data wasn't just deleted. It was destroyed and replaced with randomized junk data multiple times.” He replied, and I exhaled. This must be done after Luca had escaped from that bombing. He must have grown extremely suspicious, since Nightmare has probably never given him wrong information before. After thinking about it, I waved my hand dismissively, “Forget it. The masquerade ball in a few days is a perfect chance to find out who the spy is.” I mentioned.Mark also added, “I can also see what else I can do before then.”Subsequently, James asked, “But, what about Elena? She has also

Dominic “How is she doing?” I asked the Doctor with my gaze fixated on Elena's bloodless face.Alex was my private Doctor, and a friend as well.He replied, “She will be fine. Her body has succumbed to extreme physical and emotional exhaustion, resulting in a high fever. Has she exposed herself to the cold recently?” He asked calmly, and I furrowed my brows. “I have no idea.” I replied and he shook his head.“You should be careful not while doing it with her, she is not strong enough to handle your strength.” He pointed out, and I just nodded calmly without a change in my expression.Alex let out a resigned saying, before saying, “She will be fine after some rest. Meet me in your study room, we need to talk.” After saying that, Alex took his suitcase and my eyes followed him as he left.My gaze shifted to Elena's once again, and I took in the sight of her tightly furrowed brows and her pressed lips. Even though she was asleep, she was obviously not sleeping well. That was when I rem

Luca I quickly organized a small strike team, leading them personally towards the dockside warehouse. My lips curled into a tiny smirk, Dominic probably wanted to use these new shipments as a bargaining chip to get the deal from the black viper faction. However, I was one step ahead of him.My plan was to intercept and confiscate the weapons before Dominic could make use of them for his gain. Definitely, he must not have expected it.The sky darkened slowly as I stepped out of the mansion. Engines were already turned on, sleek black cars were lined outside the mansion and my men stood waiting, weapons hidden but not out of reach.“Let's move.” I ordered coldly, before slipping into the back of the black car in the middle, and we quickly drove off.I lit a cigarette, watching the smoke fill the car in rings. The warehouse was not far, but we were cautious. Just as we approached the warehouse, my gaze fell on a group of men in black taking some crates from a cargo van into a worn ou

Luca“Has she sent anything?” I asked Leo, one of my right-hand men, who instantly shook his head in denial. “She has not.” He replied, and I furrowed my brows. For three days, Nightshade had not sent anything and I could not but to wonder if she had been compromised. Normally, she will send a text message once every day, but for the past three days, she has not. And, texting her could be risky if she were not available. Who knew if her contact phone was with someone else? Sending a message would just sell myself out. I asked him again, “Have you tried tracing the number she has been using?” Leo nodded, “I was unable to do so because the signal in Dominic's mansion is under surveillance. Any small movement will be traced back to us.”His response had me furrowing my brows in puzzlement, could it be that Dominic had found something out?If so, then I might not be able to get any other information from Nightshade. With a frown, I gave another order, “Send that woman's pictures and i

Elena I watched as he left the room with dull eyes. His last words kept repeating in my mind, like a broken record. I never knew that was what Dominic thought of me - A cheap sex slave. Was that the reason he brought me here? To serve him?Thinking of this, I forced myself to step down from the bed, legs slightly shaky from both the night and the sting of his ruthless words before he left without looking back.My legs took me to the bathroom, and I quickly locked myself in. Without a change in my expression, I twisted the switch and the shower came in with a soft hiss.I allowed the shower to scald my skin, wanting to wash away the feeling of being used like I was nothing. Wanting to wash away the evidence of what happened. Despite the high temperature of the water, I felt oddly cold.I stared at myself in the mirror, “You are not a toy, you are not some damn property.” I muttered to myself, trying to console myself, but I could not wipe Dominic's voice from my mind just like the wh

Chapter 81Dominic Turning sideways as gently as I could, my gaze fell on Elena's sleeping face, and I found myself silently breathing to avoid waking her from her deep slumber.I could see the tear mark on her face and my gaze trailed further down to see the traces of my unrestrained passion with her.Red bruises, with some already turned purple. She had fainted under me, unable to keep up with my pace any longer. For the first time, I found myself cleaning up a woman after having sex. It was never my thing. But, doing it for Elena felt right, it felt like something only I could do. It felt like a responsibility. Regulating my breath, I slowly raised my finger and traced the contours of her face, taking in the softness of her cheek flesh and the suppleness of the lips I could never get tired of.Just then, she shifted, mumbled something with a frown before leaving into my touch like a wronged kitten. She even pushed herself deeper into my embrace, and I watched as she took in a dee

I could feel the rising heat bubbling within me, and my eyes darkened with lust.My fingers twirled her buds in a circular motion, and I could feel her twitching against me.But, she bit her lips, muffling the winsome sound that threatened to spill from her lips. Removing my fingers from under the towel, I raised my hand and used the same fingers to pry her lips open.“Can you taste it? Your wetness.” I whispered darkly, watching as she averted her gaze from my face. With a chuckle, I retrieved my finger and placed them on my lips, licking it slowly. “Like vanilla.” I pointed out, and her eyelids trembled. My gaze wandered all over her body, taking in the sight of her pointed nipples and the way her chest rose and fell, causing her breasts to shake slightly. Her tiny waist, and hell, those wide hips. Down further was her clean pussy, shaved and waiting for me to ravage.Even though my

DominicThe soft clink of the ice cube against the glass cup echoed in the stillness of my study. I swirled the liquid in my glass, watching the way the ice cube moved with it.Yet, the burn of the bourbon did nothing to distract me from the woman who haunted my thoughts and peace of mind.I could not stop thinking about her.She was not the first woman I would sleep with, but after doing it, my brain seemed to have been conditioned to only have her. And, that, perhaps, was the problem. The twinkle of her eyes when she laughed, the soft curl of her lips when she was in a good mood and the narrowing of her eyes when she was angry. Each change in her facial features seemed to have been recorded in my mind, and nothing could wipe it away, not even the strong bourbon. I lifted the glass to my mouth, and took another sip. My gaze shifted to the bottle on the table, and realized that I was out. I had been drinking since I left the dining area, and I could do nothing. I could not even wor

ElenaI had secretly followed Sophia when she left my room, intending to listen to what Dominic would say. But, when I heard what he said, I was so angry that I went back into my room. That bastard! Does he think that what he did was right? He does not even feel any ounce of remorse, how could he be such a dickhead? On getting to my room, I sat myself at the edge of the bed, and our interaction last night emerged in my mind.Actually, after what happened last night, something seemed to have changed, but I could not tell what.Yet, Dominic probably did not feel anything. How could I even allow something like that to happen?I could remember the meaningful gazes directed at me by a maid who saw me when I left Dominic's room. What would she think about me? That, I was some cheap bitch, who sleeps around to earn a favor? And that man, he isn't even concerned about my feelings. Who does he think he is?My body still hurts until now, and it was all his fault. Thinking about this, I stood
