In the classroom, the professor concluded his lecture and then checked his phone, a small smile tugging at his lips.

“You all have the music competition today—the first round of screening,” he announced.

A wave of excitement buzzed through the room. Students began whispering eagerly until the professor added, curiosity and admiration mixing in his tone, “So, who’s participating from this class?”

A girl with blue-dyed hair, Carina, stood up with a confident smile. The next second, Anna and Riya nudged Siena’s arm, raising her hand for her before she could react. Siena’s eyes widened in shock—she hadn’t signed up. But one look at her friends’ mischievous smiles told her everything. They had already entered her name. Of course, they had—Siena was the best singer in the college, and they were sure she’d win.

“All the best,” the professor said, before leaving the class.

“Let’s go!” Anna and Riya chimed in unison.

“I’ve got your guitar—the one you gave me to keep,” Anna said excitedly.

  • The Mafia's Substitute Bride   Chapter 296. Surprised

“Well, it’s not that hard to guess, is it?” one of the girls from Carina’s gang chimed in with a mocking grin. “Everyone in college knows Fabio dumped her and married someone better. With her reputation and that rushed marriage, what else could she have gotten except an old man? I bet he’s so ugly she’s too embarrassed to show him off. That’s why she didn’t invite anyone from our class—not even you two, her so-called best friends—to the wedding. She’s ashamed and scared people will find out her dirty secret.”A round of cruel laughter filled the classroom.Siena simply shook her head, unfazed. She had never cared about what the world thought—not when she was with Fabio, not when he left her, and not even when her marriage was kept a secret. All she ever needed was a handful of people who truly loved her. Her friends understood that, and they never questioned why they weren’t invited to her wedding. Siena was grateful to have them, her real treasures. After them, Soraya, Elena, and Cri

But Siena wanted to talk to her husband. She hadn’t heard his voice or seen him since last night—he had already left before she woke up. Now, her heart ached to hear him, or better yet, to see his face on a video call.Without thinking twice, she dialed his number again, this time switching to video. She quickly smoothed her hair, pressed her lips together to even out her gloss, and ran a finger under her eyes in a swift motion—just in case her eyeliner had smudged. She waited, her lips curling into a soft, sensual smile as she stared at the phone screen. But before the full ringtone even finished, the call was disconnected—from his side. He’d cut her call. If he had been busy, he would’ve texted her or at least picked up to say he’d call back—but no, he’d directly rejected it.That meant only one thing…Siena’s heart sank. He didn’t want to talk to her?She panicked and, in desperation, dialed his number again without a second thought. Holding her breath, she waited—one ring, two, th

The next morning, Siena woke up with the happiest smile on her face. Her eyes were still closed as she stretched her arms lazily, savoring the comfort of the sheets. But her eyes fluttered open when she realized she wasn’t in her husband’s embrace. She shifted and glanced beside her, finding the sheets cold and empty—Cristiano had already left. The disappointment snatched away her smile, but she quickly comforted her sinking heart with the thought that he might have had some urgent work in the morning and didn’t want to disturb her sleep. The realization brought her smile back—her husband cared for her so much. Then her gaze landed on her phone. Now that she had his number, she could call and wish him good morning. She wanted to do it with a kiss, but it was fine. From tomorrow, she promised herself she would wake up early—before him—so she could be the one to greet him first.Drawing her lower lip between her teeth, she picked up her phone. Before she could even scroll through her co

Cristiano walked to the bathroom and returned a moment later with a washcloth dampened with warm water. He went back to the bed, and Siena was lying there, eyes closed, legs slightly parted—the soreness preventing her from pressing them together. She flinched slightly, eyes fluttering open, as she felt him near her, his hands gentle on her tender flesh.Cristiano sat at the edge of the bed, carefully wiping her between her thighs with a warm washcloth. His eyes never left her sore pussy. His brows furrowed as he took in the red, swollen evidence of their passion.“We have to be careful,” he murmured, his voice low and serious, “not have sex for a few days.”His words made her stomach flip with a mixture of fear and embarrassment.No. She couldn’t bear it. Not now, when every restraint between them had been shattered, when she felt him inside her in every way, when she wanted nothing more than to surrender completely to him. She didn’t want to be apart from him, not for a single second

Siena bit her lip. She should have been afraid of him—the dangerous warning in his tone was darker than ever—but instead, her voice came out low and sultry, laced with need. “Then tell me… or better yet, show me.”Cristiano froze, caught off guard by her boldness. But before he could speak, she whispered again, breathless and defiant, “Don’t hold back. I want you to claim me in every way. I’m yours, husband. You have every right to do anything you want to me… to my body.”His chest rose sharply, his breath catching as his eyes darkened further. “You… are… mine,” he murmured, almost as if spellbound.“Yes…” she breathed, though he could see her reflection in the mirror, she turned her head slightly, bringing her face closer to his. “My body, my heart, my soul—my every breath—you have the right to all of it.”“This is the fucking hottest thing I’ve ever heard, mia moglie,” he husked, his voice thick with mixed emotions, making her deep, trembling voice sound raw and vulnerable. The n
