Chapter seventeen

After breakfast Amber went back quietly to her room to finish cleaning up,when she was done with the arrangements she took off her clothes, had a bath and for the first time in a while she tried to brush her hair. It was difficult at first but with a little conditioning her stubborn hair gave in as she bounded it in a messy bun at the top of her head, feeling satisfied,clean and well fed Amber was able to think clearly and the first thought that came to her mind was leaving the house for a while and she knew just where to go.

"She wouldn't like this" she thought as she searched around for her phone which she found underneath the pile of pillows on the bed.

Turning it on she dialed her mother's number, waiting for her to pick, which made her agitated. Her phone rang for a while and when there was no answer Amber tried to disconnect the call but got a response at the last minute.
