Kraven's POV

“Hey dude. You are finally here.”

I leaped in joy the moment I saw my friend in my sitting room. I got notified even while he was just right at the gate and I gave a signal to allow him in.

I offered a hand for a shake and he took it in return, gripping it tight like old times. The familiarity of it brought a strange warmth to my chest and I felt that big time. Funny how even in a world of mafia where trust was currency, this man still had my handshake at face value.

“You know I needed to, man,” Greg said, giving me a smirk that didn’t quite hide his curiosity. “You put a hit on us and all of a sudden the love of your life shows up out of nowhere. And in the shortest of all times, you took her down the aisle.”

I chuckled, dragging a hand across my beard. “Man, I didn't have a white wedding. It was only a court marriage that even few people that I informed about it were the ones who showed up. It was no big deal and you of all people should know that, at least.”
