The night had already turned red.

Not metaphorically — literally red, as though the sky above the ruins bled into the earth.

Smoke curled like veins of fire, the wind carrying the metallic scent of danger.

The ground trembled with the weight of everything unraveling.

Romeo's fingers were inches from the black book about to set ablaze when....THUD.

A boot slammed brutally into his spine.

His scream tore out, sharp and short, as his body was launched forward. He hit his head hard on a stone and passed out.

The black book flew from his hand, spinning wildly before crashing onto the dirt, skidding directly toward Donato.

Donato gasped, blood pouring down his thigh like a leaking river.

His jaw locked in agony, but he dragged himself forward on his elbows.

Every move cut fire through his leg, but he didn't care.

That book was the Morano destiny—his destiny—and he refused to die without holding it again.

The sky pulsed crimson. A strange heat coiled through the air.

Luca's heart hammered….Alessia.

And Daisy's nonstop calls. His wife is also the red moon blood child. And the Red moon eclipse is happening….. His chest tightened.

Could this be why Daisy was calling? Was something happening to Alessia back in Morano? Or worse… in Seriona City?

But then— A shadow stepped between the cracked stones, the owner of the black boot that kicked Romeo.

And she appeared….. She's Princess Elowen.

Luca's breath hitched. Donato froze, even through the pain.

Princess Elowen rushed dust off her gloves with elegant precision, the firelight gleaming against her pale hair.

Luca exhaled in disbelief.

"We thought you left."

Her eyes flicked up, sharp as a blade.

"I didn't leave. I've been watching everything. And helping from where I needed to."

Then she smirked, extending her hand.

Luca slapped it lightly in a high-five, stunned but grateful.

Elowen crouched beside Donato, ripped off her scarf, and tied it tightly around his bleeding leg. Donato winced but didn't pull away.

"The kick? That was me," she added with a shrug. "Not my finest form, but it got Romeo off the book."

Romeo lay unconscious, head cracked against a jagged stone, blood trailing down his temple. The betrayal—his betrayal—stung the air like poison.

Luca snatched the black book off the ground and pressed it into Donato's shaking hands.

"Got it," Luca whispered. "It's safe."

Elowen smirked again, but this time her eyes softened.

"Another healing news while we're at it… I rescued your child, Donato."

Donato's breath stopped.

"Where is he?"

"With the same boys Romeo sent after them," she said simply. "Except they're my boys. They intercepted everything. They are already on the way back to his grandmother, to hand him over ."

A single tear escaped Donato's eye—he tried to hide it, but failed.

Elowen stood, her posture stiffening with urgency.

"And now we need to move. Quickly. We must head back to Seriona City. Daisy and Alessia might be in danger."

Luca reached for his phone, heart pounding. He dialed Daisy Once…..Twice…..Three times. But the number was not connecting.

A cold weight dropped into his stomach.

Elowen's eyes narrowed. "That's not good."

Luca's voice cracked.

"No… no… something's wrong."

And then—A slow clap.

Three, heavy….Mocking….Dark.

Every head snapped toward the sound.

From the shadows, a figure stepped out, the flames outlining him in a nightmarish glow.

Lorenzo…..Alessia's ex.

The man who swore he would burn the Morano family to ashes.

He walked with a gun raised, smile as cold as winter.

"Freeze," Lorenzo drawled, his voice venomously calm. "Hand the book over."

Donato, even bleeding, raised his gun back at him.

But Lorenzo laughed.

"Shoot me, Donato.Go ahead….. Make a mockery of yourself. You're half-dead. And I'm the one who tampered with your guns."

Luca stiffened, aiming his weapon.

Donato fired click….No bullets.

Luca tried next , clicked but it was empty .

Lorenzo's laugh echoed across the red-washed ruins—low, triumphant, merciless.

"Well, well…" he smirked, tapping the barrel of his gun against his palm. "Looks like tonight, I'm the only one holding the winning hand."

He stepped closer, eyes burning with obsession.

"And I told you, Luca… if I can't have Alessia, no one can. Finally I am the master of this game indeed ….." he laughed out loudly as his voice echoed through the walls

Lorenzo's finger tightened on the trigger.

The barrel of the gun leveled directly at Luca's chest, perfectly aligned with his heart.

Luca didn't flinch or blink, he held his breathe and jaw locked as he stared into the eyes of the man who once held Alessia's heart and now wanted to destroy it.

Donato tried to move, but the pain in his leg dragged a groan from him.

Princess Elowen braced herself, stepping slightly forward, calculating distance, angles—ways to disarm, ways to kill.

But even she knew she wouldn't be fast enough.

Lorenzo smirked, darkness curling in his gaze.

"Goodbye, Luca Morano… Alessia needs you now as she is the red moon blood child but if you are gone … she will also be gone and I will be the winner of this game…."

Then—A gunshot tore through the air.

But not from Lorenzo's weapon.

A black shadow dropped from the ruined arch above, landing behind him with the stealth of a phantom. Before Lorenzo could turn CRACK…..

A whip-like rope snapped through the air, catching his wrist and yanking his gun clean out of his hand. Lorenzo stumbled, shock flooding his face.

More ropes struck from every direction, slithering like serpents—snatching Luca's weapon, Donato's, Elowen's, even the spare knives tucked beneath Luca's jacket.

Every weapon clattered to the ground in one synchronized crash.

"No—!" Lorenzo snarled, reaching for his hidden blade.

Another rope choked that attempt too, ripping it away.

From the settling dust, a silhouette walked in slowly.

Tall, elegant and dressed in all black.

A wide-brimmed hat cast her face into shadow—except for her lips.

Red….Blood red.

A smile carved like sin and silk.

Her men—dozens of them fanned out behind her, each one armed, each one deadly, each one poised like trained wolves awaiting her command.

She tilted her head, that red smile widening.

"Well," she purred softly, voice slipping through the tension like warm poison, "aren't you boys a beautiful mess?" She said and her hat was still hiding her face , they could only see her lips .

Lorenzo's eyes widened.

She stepped closer, boots crunching against the gravel, her men forming a complete circle around the battlefield.

The red sky flickered above them like a burning omen.

And far away…

BACK AT THE MORANO ESTATE

The night was quiet—deceptively so.

The midwife finished wiping Alessia's skin with warm towels, her movements gentle and seasoned.

The two newborn boys slept between soft blankets, breaths rising and falling like two peaceful tides.

Their cheeks were warm, their tiny fists curled.

They looked exactly like Luca.

Sharp brows, Tiny pouts. The Morano heirs, through and through.

Daisy set a tray of food beside Alessia—a steaming bowl of broth, sliced fruit, warm bread.

But Alessia barely touched it.

Her eyes kept drifting toward the door, toward her silent phone, toward the absence of Luca's voice.

"They're taking too long…" Daisy whispered, rubbing her arms as unease crawled through her. "Something's wrong."

The midwife forced a tired smile.

"Don't worry.. Two Morano brothers cannot be taken in vain. They are storms in human form."

But the reassurance didn't settle.

The air shifted.

Alessia blinked—slow, dizzy. Her vision swirled, darkening around the edges.

"Daisy…" she whispered, clutching her chest. "I feel… weak."

"You just gave birth," Daisy said quickly. "You lost blood. Sit, breathe—just relax."

But Alessia shook her head.

"It's not… childbirth." Her eyes rolled slightly. "It's… the eclipse…"

The room trembled as though responding to her confession.

Daisy's heart dropped.

Because she had heard the stories.

Because she knew who Alessia truly was.

The Red Moon Blood Child.

A chosen destiny, A cursed lineage. And the eclipse was her greatest weakness.

Alessia's knees buckled.

"Alessia!" Daisy screamed.

The midwife rushed forward, catching her as she collapsed onto the bed.

Nurses sprinted inside, panic crackling in the air, fanning her, checking her pulse, shouting instructions no one could follow fast enough.

"She's fainting—Her blood pressure is dropping , get the sedative...

No, no sedative, she's rejecting it,

Her body is not responding..."

But the midwife silenced them with a trembling voice.

"No treatment will work. She is the red moon blood child, one one thing can pull her back before the eclipse ends , this eclipse happens only once in every 100 decades .

Daisy grabbed her arm desperately.

"What?,Tell me."

"The Breath of Life. It must be given by the man bound to her fate."

Her voice broke.

"Her husband…..Luca Morano."

Daisy shook her head frantically.

"He's far—she doesn't even know where he is….he's not picking…his phone…."

The midwife tightened her grip.

"Then contact him,Immediately."

Her voice cracked into the sharp, cold air.

"Because if he doesn't reach her before the eclipse ends—Alessia will not survive."

Daisy's hand flew to her mouth as the nurses scrambled—And that was the moment the entire Morano estate plunged into terror, because…..she had to contact Luca immediately....

  • The Mafia’s heir’s bride    The Eclipse of the red moon blood

The Morano mansion had never felt this silent. Its corridors usually breathed with the footsteps of guards, the low hum of generators, the murmured orders of men trained to kill for the family. But tonight, silence wrapped around the walls like a shroud unnatural, heavy, too still for a house that belonged to the most feared bloodline on the western coast.Alessia felt it long before the pain started. She stood at the balcony of the east wing, fingers gripping the railing, her breath fogging the night air as she watched the taillights of Luca, Donato, and Romeo's Cars fade beyond the wrought-iron gates. They left in a rush—too fast, too tense—answering a call that smelled of danger. The mission to Averia City was supposed to be quick, surgical. Recover their son and his stolen heart, take back what belonged to Morano blood, and return before dawn. But the moment the gates clanged shut, something inside Alessia twisted.Something cold....Something warning.Behind her, Daisy hovered

  • The Mafia’s heir’s bride    The Betrayal written in shadows

The knock came again…..Soft, slow and too deliberate for an intruder, too familiar for a stranger.Donato rose from the leather sofa, shoulders stiff, jaw tightened with a dread no one had ever seen him carry. Luca and Romeo exchanged confused glances—because Donato Morano was a man who feared nothing. Not bullets, not death, not the ghosts of the family he had buried. But this knock… It hollowed the room.Alessia tightened her arms around herself, sensing something cold pressing through the air. Daisy stood beside her, hands trembling lightly despite her effort to hide it. The mansion suddenly felt too quiet, too breathless.Donato reached the door. His fingers brushed the handle—then he paused, whispering so quietly Luca almost missed it. "….it can't be."But he opened the door anyway and there was nothing. No footsteps, no shadow, no wind and no sign of life at all.Just the long, silent hallway stretching into darkness. He stood frozen, staring into the emptiness like he was s

  • The Mafia’s heir’s bride    The Night the game shifted

The wind outside wailed like a trapped animal, scraping its sorrow against the jagged stone. But inside, the cold silence was sharper—an assassin wearing stillness as a mask.Lorenzo moved through the cavern with the precision of a man born from shadow. A single lantern burned on the wooden table, its flame trembling as though afraid of him. The faint light revealed the array he had laid out: three vials of ink-black liquid, a map of the city carved into leather, and a list of names written in his own blood.Names that would not live to see the Red Moon Eclipse. He dragged a gloved finger over the list, stopping on the first name.Bianca…..He didn't smile, he didn't need to. His silence said everything."She thinks she can play me," he murmured, voice low and velvet-dark. "She thinks she knows the rules of this war…"He dipped his finger into one of the vials and made a swift stroke across her name."But she doesn't realize I'm rewriting them."His footsteps echoed as he crossed to

  • The Mafia’s heir’s bride    When revenge breaths

The cave breathed like a living thing. Very cold, wet and cruel. The dripping water echoed in rhythmic intervals, each drop like a countdown to someone's ruin. Lorenzo sat on the cracked stone throne at the very back of the cavern, hood pulled low over his face, shadow slicing across the sharp line of his jaw. His fingers toyed with the small vial of blackened liquid beside him—seraphina's fate, and the first step in his rising storm. He tilted his head, listening to the distant moan of the wind funneling through the cave's mouth. His lips curled, not in amusement but in calculation."It worked," he murmured, voice low, velvet-wrapped poison. "Seraphina is down, her panic will shake her soldiers defenses…. Distraction one."He leaned his head back and exhaled slowly, as though savoring the taste of victory—quiet, controlled, patient. But his eyes hidden beneath the hood burned the color of a man who'd lost everything and decided the world would pay for it."Alessia"….. His voice al
