ATTICUS POV

The gentle breeze of the night tickles our nose as we watch the trees sway. Possible scenarios and bad thoughts have been torturing our mind ever since we came upstairs. Hurting one of our loyal agents wasn't something we planned on doing.

Pity for Layla's pain is turning our insides. The lone wolves have murdered at least one wolf and we decided to give them a second chance. They didn't have to kill, but they did. They chose the worst course of action every since leaving the Kincaid pack and we felt bad for them because of Rupert. We felt like they were the same as us, but now that we have thought about it more we feel like we were wrong.

What have we done? Just because someone bad hurt them we decided it was okay they hurt others. We should have killed them on the spot, but the look in their eyes made us soft. We can't save everyone we have a pack to protect.
